The house is perfect except for one thing. The adopted children doesn't go to sleep on the bed that is on the left side when you enter the room. They just stand there next to it. The other bed is used properly.
It is a common bug when downloading some mods that deal with landscape. In game and inside the house, open the console { ~ key} and type TGwhich stands for "toggle Grass" and hit enter and close console. The grass inside and grass in the sky outside should be gone. You may have to rinse and repeat another time or two but it will settle down. Good luck!
Wonderful player house! Endorsed! However, as others have experienced, the darn cricket noise at night always drives me out. This playthrough I tried again but that irritating noise is even worse now that I have active noise reduction Bose headphones. It's like the sound shoots through my skull and bounces around inside. It's like torture.
BTW, the major framerate killer for me was the fireplace shadow effect, which I deleted with TESVedit.
Do you remember how you removed the shadow effect? I've been trying to in tes5edit for a while but all I have accomplished is deleting the fire light source entirely
Sorry that it took so long to respond. I wish there was an option to get notified if someone replies to your post (or is there?). Anyway, I was running my character past the Mammoth Manor site today and said to myself, "I would really like to use that mod in this playthrough..." So I tried again and managed to fix everything that bothered me.
The framerate-killing shadow caster is WRFireLightShadow01. You can simply delete it, though it makes the fireplace unnaturally dark. Originally I did that in-game by saving, opening the Console, randomly clicking in front of the fireplace, and typing "disable". I got lucky. This time around I'm a wee bit more knowledgeable so I went into the Creation Kit and swapped it with WRFireLightNS (NS is for "No Shadows", BTW), reduced the light radius and moved it completely into the fireplace. I like it!
The light flicking on and off against the bricks of the fireplace depending on where your character's viewpoint is--that's from the lighting downstairs. One source was doubled and I deleted one of them. The other problem was in the trophy/follower room. That light was too bright/too much radius. I moved and reduced it. That room is darker now but light doesn't leak upstairs anymore.
The nightly annoyance wasn't a cricket, it was a stupid tree frog! IIRC it was ForestNightFrog sound emitter or something like that. I smashed the critter (deleted it) and now it's blessedly silent at night! Then I reduced the glare from the master bedroom candles. Much more cozy with mellow low lighting.
GREAT Mod, really hit the mark and I used both his other homes (the Breezehome stays for sure). BH and RSL were a bit cramped, this is just spacious enough without having to run around too much.
Helpful CreationKit hint for those who want quieter inside at night (frogs). Easy to disable loop on the frogs, don't have to delete. Load the MammothManner esp, click on All and Filter on Frog. you will see 3 sounds, I think Lupus blended them, they all have a loop from 22 (10 PM) to 5 (5 AM). Just turn the looping off in the Conditions pane. They chirp once when you come in, letting you know it's late. then stop.
Will be looking for a way to get clothes back on after sauna. RSL was good about that (auto-clothing NPCs coming out).
If you have DLCs, before running CK use these instructs for CreationKit CTD errors: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim /mods/21690/ Load just MammothManor esp
This is a great house mod, thank you so much! I especially appreciate the ability to turn the kids' room into a room for followers, same with the basement armory. I usually have 2-3 followers, so the extra beds are a huge plus.
This house is awesome, but I can't move my family. I'm using Hearthfire Muliple Adoptions and when I use the spell "Bless Home" it says that "this place is not suitable for your family". It's a problem with the house or HMA?
This mod has issues with "Colorful Lights - No Shadows - More FPS" by TRoaches. It makes the fireplace have a very bad light pop in/flicker issue. Too bad because this is my favorite playerhome but I need that other mod to play skyrim :(

I hope some of this will be of help to others.
