About this mod

A simple low-lag player home devoted to crafters of all kinds.

Permissions and credits
NOTE: This mod is continued at Crafter's Crypt 3 on a separate page, due to now requiring the Hearthfire and Dragonborn DLC's.  You can find it at: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/77180

The Crafter's Crypt is a player home I created to satisfy my desire for the perfect home for a crafting-focused character, along with having decent interior lighting and little or no lag.

The home includes:
* Smelter
* Forge
* Armor Workbench
* Grindwheel
* Alchemy Station
* Enchanting Station
* Cooking Spit
* Wood Chopping Block with axe
* Player Bed
* Four storage chests
* Free Booze
* Barracks chamber for up to 8 followers
* A shrine of Talos
* An armory with 8 mannequins, 8 display cases, and 16 weapon racks.

It is located just outside of Whiterun. Go to the area where Ri'saad and his caravan usually set up camp, and then follow along the the rocks until you find a small waterfall. The entrance will be the sewer grate to the left. A lantern has been set out on top of a barrel to help find it at night.

I'm always open to suggestions for improvements and bug reports.

Update 2.1.3:
* Added occlusion planes, which instruct the renderer to ignore out-of-view objects behind the planes.  Should give a small performance boost.
* NOTE: The previous change to make the crafter's crypt be properly recognized as a player home did not work.  I am not sure what needs to be done to fix this.

Update 2.1.2:
* The Crafter's Crypt is now properly marked as owned by the player, and so mods that depend on player ownership for some features (such as
Autoharvest 2) will work properly with it.
* Removed the dining tables and their chairs from the barracks chamber and replaced them with a tables that had attached benches, since the chairs were causing seated followers to spaz out from getting embeded in the table when they got up.

Update 2.1:
* Added proper navmesh to allow followers to enter
* Added a new entryway with six more chests and a shrine of talos
* Removed two urns near the main chamber's entryway (something else will replace them later)
* Replaced the bedroom hallway with an armory featuring 8 mannequins, 8 display cases, and 16 weapon rack mounts.
* A barracks chamber with beds for up to 8 followers, plus seating and practice targets

Installation: Just download the main file, copy it to Skyrim's data directory, and then enable it from the launcher.  However, If you are updating to this from the steam version, make sure you do the following:
1) Clear out any stored items and take them with you. Make sure you save OUTSIDE of the crypt.
2) Uninstall the old crafters_crypt.esp file.
3) Install the nexus version.

NOTE 2: The barracks chamber does not have any built-in support for followers. You can use the My Home is Your Home mod from the Nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18045/?

NOTE 3: If you wish to move your spouse to the Crafter's Crypt, I suggest the Spouses Can Live Everywhere mod, also from the Nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11370/?
