First off, great mod! Always felt guards were missing.
But this is wierd... I have both this mod and the one for Castle Dour and everything works perfect for every character that hasn't finished the Civil War. But the one character where I've won for the Stormcloaks does NOT have Stormcloak guards in Windhelm - but it DOES HAVE have for Castle Dour in Solitude!?
I had to use console to disable guards in Solitude or they'd fight the city guard, is there any way to use console commands or something else to enable the guards for Windhelm?
I don't know how you would go about such things, but do you think you could try to give the Guards scripts, where they stop you at various points, take from you your weapons before you speak to the Jarl, unless you're a member of their army, or a Thane? It wouldn't matter how many guards he has, if someone can just walk up to him and slit his throat.. Just food for thought.
That would be interesting but my skills as a modder are such that I wouldn't have the foggiest idea where to even start.

That would be cool though, I admit... Personally I think all Housecarls or guards should execute a script similar to Irileth's (when the DB first approaches Balgruuf) to ask, "who are you and why do you approach the Jarl?"

I totally thought this too! Would be very immersive. Maybe the creator can partner with someone to co-build a mod? I bet amod like that would make the GEMS list! Very immersive.
I like the tallness, it makes them imposing, but it would be cool if they had slightly varying heights. If I tweak their sizes through the console command, will this interfere with the mod?
At the civil war when I anter the jarl's castle, I'm stuck at my position, rikke and talius walk up to Ulfric and all the guards start attacking them. While they are getting their ass handed to them without trying to fight back, I'm still frozen on the spot unable to do anything untill the cinematic is completed. Which won't happen since rikke and talius's ass are pinned on the spot.
So yeah, this needs a fix. Besides that : Awesome mod, endorsed
EDIT. So yeah, Anja can't die. In fact, I can't even use the kill command to kill her, go figure. Another thing to think of fixing
EDIT2. Quickfixes for me was using a command to disable combat and disable Anja's existance entirely. (Select Anja and type "disable") (Console command "TCAI" - Toggle combat AI)
Also, killing those guards in the civil war gives me a permanent massive bounty in that area. Off to jail for my heroic skill and deeds I guess.
Yeah sorry about that. TBH I hadn't given much thought to any of the consequences of putting guards in there. A very early mod for me and not much polish to it, only took me about an hour to make.
Been having a problem where Anga Headcrusher (or whatever the big Nord woman in Dwarven plate's name is) can't be hit at all, let alone killed, and still hits like a truck and can't be evaded.
Excellent idea. Will be tracking this and will wait until you release part 2.

Adds a very intimidating presence to the Palace, in my humble opinion.
