    I can confirm that these scripts work with SSE and SKSE 64 without any modifications needed.

      I can second this. Just switched over from Unlimited Bookshelves to this because it works with Hearthfire homes.  Endorsed.

    Some books and recipes cant be placed together on the same shelf regardless of space left.
    And recipes is standing straight up and floating in the air on the shelf's?

    EDIT: Never mind, using the Original Mod and that one works flawlessly.

      It works for me. Only some minor issues: If I place too many books at once, I sometimes get them back into my inventory even if there is space left. The second to last book tends to clip into the last, fixed one. And some books tend to hoover 1 to 2cm above the shelf. I guess first is script lag, second and third are some issues with the boundaries of the books and not with this mod.

      Same, and even more - when I remove the mod, the books are still invisible! And there are place for only 3 books on each shelf.
      Leaving and returning - doesnt help. I had to load the old save that was created before installing this mod to restore bookshelves.
      TOTALLY BROKEN!

    Gonna just comment after reading the description. +Endorse here from a lungari archer with a lot... Lot of books (Silverstead. STEAL ALL THE BOOKS!). This mod is very used and appreciated.

    But what brought me here... Probably something that I messed up installing ENBs and such earlier but when I put books in my shelves, the books just go absolutely nuts. Even after a clean install of the mod the physics freak out and the books end up returning to my inventory. Even some that I placed just earlier (Open the inventory of the shelves and the books resort and freak out). Only new things in load order are Climates of Tamriel, Vividian ENB/Clouds and Fog. I just loaded a rather old save and tested it, same behavior. http://i.imgur.com/g5Nh8Sp.jpg You can see the books that were placed just right until I simply opened the inventory and nearby shelves were even affected. Anyone have any clue? I tried antoher ENB and weather mod prior to this but the save has been cleaned from orphan scripts (Also the save I loaded to get the picture was of before the ENBs were tested.)

      I've had that too with the latest (1.3.1) script. I've reverted to the previous one. I keep getting books pushed back in my inventory when all I do is *look* at the bookcase contents. Books not falling over is nice, but not if you end up with a bunch of books you didn't expect.

      I would also like to know that. It's exactly what I'm looking for, but does it work with SKSE 1.7.3?

      EDIT: Seems like it's not compatible, when I read the post of sLoPpYdOtBiGhOlE.. seems like my gamethrough will be with the vanilla bookshelves system, because I don't think that an update will come. Too bad..

      What exactly incompatible in this script with SKSE 1.7.3. I have this script installed since last year and updated SKSE several times after that. And I didn't notice any differences, all works as usual (currently with SKSE 1.7.3).

      I don't know so I can't answer your question. But if you look one post below (the post of sLoPpYdOtBiGhOlE), it sounds like it's not compatible anymore.

      I'm afraid to use this version. If it's not compatible anymore maybe I will run into problems, don't want to break my game.

      EDIT: And even if it is still compatible, does it work with the Legendary version?

      I really hope someone can tell us (because I really would love to use this mod), if this version here can still be used without any problems. I could just run that script, but I'm a little afraid my game will be broken after 100 hours and ruin my game.

      I'm pretty sure sLoPpYdOtBiGhOlE's post wasn't implying that, but rather that he made use of some of the new functions available in more recent versions of SKSE to optimize it. Specifically, he replaced the looping "placeatme" commands with SKSE 1.7.3's SpawnTask.

      Based on a quick skim of the SKSE version history, they never 'remove' any functions (with the exception of one that they once removed as it was redundant with a poorly named vanilla function). As such, I don't really see how SKSE 1.7.3 would break compatibility with this mod.

      I also don't see why it wouldn't be compatible with the legendary edition either.

    Nice script,
    I just update it to use SKSE 1.7.3.
    Using the SKSE batch SpawnerTask to spawn all the books in 1 frame.

    Do all the maths and instead of doing placetame every iteration through the loop, just add it it as a SpawnTask.
    Once all the calculations are done run the SpawnTask.
    Instant all books at one time, nice.
    Wish there was a batch Delete/DisableTask.
    Removing the book is still a 1x1, but damn, the refresh of books is awesome with SpawnTask.

    I have made massive headway on a new version loosely based off of unlimited bookshelves.

    So far I have proper bounds for all items in skyrim.

    I really need help with fixing the script up for the new version. (Hopefully sLoPpYdOtBiGhOlE will help with this part) Cross fingers.

    Then the last bit would be to get all bookshelves in the legendary game use-able. I think it would be easier to just make the mod work on all shelves then just the ones in homes.

    Is eventhandler willing to assist me?

    I have the problem, that only the top part of the shelf is used...the other parts (middle and bottom) store no books and it just returns the books which don't fit on the top part into my inventory...is this normal? is it only possible to fill the top?

      Each shelf is usually its own container. Try going into first person and looking lower (unless you meant you were opening the middle and lower shelves, but couldn't put anything in them? Then in that case I'm stumped)

    Well same problem here. Cleaned save game with Papyrus Data Transfer, eliminating all running script threads. Still have problem as KaluaTheRathling. Leave house -> walking around -> come back to the bookshelf > books at very least begin to appearing on bookshelf when placing them. But still with looong delay, and they still stacking in one pile.

    I just found out that my go to mod Unlimited Bookshelves by da5id2701 is old and broken and no longer supported, people refered this mod as a solid replacement but it doesn't say that this mod supports other items besides books.
    It looks like you're interested in adding that functionality into a new mod though so I'm really really looking forward to it!
