I got really tired of the unrealistic noises the wolves in Skyrim make, especially that godawful breathing idle. Wolves in the wild actually sound a lot like dogs, so my quick fix was to extract both the wolf and dog sounds from the game files and replace the worst of the wolf noises with the most wolflike of the dog sounds. It's quite a lazy person's fix, but I'm very happy with the results, so I thought I'd share.
If enough people express interest, I'll get some recordings of real wolves and make a bit higher-quality mod~
All audio is from the original Skyrim files and was extracted with BSAopt. Go endorse them, they've got a really great and easy-to-use program!
