Are texture sizes the same as vanillia? Meshes are the same amount of polygons, just you moved the verticles around or it was just how you marked it for uv unwrapping?
Found your mod by (lucky) chance, and very glad I did - the icicles look so much better.
I use Mod Organizer to manage my mods, and it tells me that all six .nif meshes in /data/meshes/landscape/ice overwrite ones supplied by USKP (Unofficial Skyrim Patch).
I checked USKP's release notes, and in v2.0.1, they added the shadow flag to those meshes because they're big enough to justify having shadows.
Any chance of updating your modified meshes to also have the shadow flag?
i'm not sure about this. imho transparent icicles shouldn't cast a hard shadow anyway. i'd rather prefer them to cast none, than cast a well defined one. it makes sense for the opaque vanilla icicles though.
You should check out the mesh/texture for the frost spells and do them similarly; most of them are abysmal, especially with the scripted fire/ice mod from Apollodown that makes them stick around and become collision objects. (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43241/) These two mods were made for one another, I think.
Which version do you guys like better? Default for 50% More Solid? I would look myself but I'm on a list of quests at the moment and would have forgotten all about this mod by the time I'm done.
Thanks for checking it out ZerOxShadows! I believe that the 50% more solid one is more popular as it looks more like icicles people are familiar with. The original was more about making the icicles as least visible as possible but still there.
Richard, I asked for permission to use your glass sword mesh as a replacer for my Morrowind Glass armor and weapon set, but never got a reply. Can i use it? :c

btw, i though it would be more immersive if they would be less transparent in the root (the widest) part.
