Posting a tutorial for those who wish to convert this mod from form 43 to form 44 and use this mod with the latest version of Skyrim: Special Edition.
1. download this mod, and the creation kit for this game.
2. Install this mod in your mod manager of choice. If you use MO2 go to step 3 If not then I think you can skip the next step bc idk if this happens in vortex.
3. You might get “application error 000065432” when running the creation kit through MO2, if you do, head to the modify executables screen, navigate to the creation kit, and check the box that says “Overwrite Steam Appid” and in the box next to it write “1946180” which is the appid for the Special edition version of the creation kit. Doing this should Allow you to run the creation kit through MO2 now.
4. In the creation kit, once you’ve got it to work, you need to find the icon under the file button, it should be an open folder icon, click it.
5. you should be in your plug-ins list now. Navigate through it until you see “Impgen” which I assume is short for Imperial General. Impgen.esp is the mod you wish to convert from form 43 to form 44.
6. Now that you have found “Impgen.esp” you want to click on it, and then click the “set as active file” button, and click ok, wait for it to finish loading.
7. Finally, after it’s finished loading, all you have to do now is save and exit, ignore any warnings that pop up, trust me, they aren’t important, and you should now have the mod ready to use in form 44.
8. Bonus step for those who don’t like the helmet. Open the mod in explorer. Open the texture and the mesh files. Anything that has helmet in the file name can be deleted. And you should now have a helmet less General Tullius.
I hope this helps for those of you who wish to use this incredible mod.
So does anyone else notice how this is the same exact armor in immersive armors, the imperial knight armor? And how he "made" another mod called the stormlord armor, which is also from immersive armors? Pretty sure this guy is just copying hothtrooper's mods and claiming them as his own. After all, this mod came out a year after immersive armors original release. Shouldn't this have been taken down by now?
Damn! You guys are thick; Immersive armors is mostly a collection of armor mods made by other people (including both of Gechbal's armours) conveniently under only one esp (and with handy merged leveled lists). I'm sure if you had bothered to look closely at immersive armors files and logs you'd find the name of the armor creators, including gechbal.
You shouldn't be talking about things you don't know. Around 80% of Immersive Armors are taken from standalone mods, it's just a collection of armor mods. BTW even if this guy have "stolen" these armors from IA I'd still be glad to use it since I don't like IA and I wouldn't like to download an entire armor pack just for these 2 amors.
No expiration on stupidity, friend. People mod Skyrim every day - people can comment at any time. But go ahead and tell them they have a "sad life", that'll show 'em :^)
You do realise that Immersive Armors is a compilation of other mods so people don't have their mod load orders clogged with 50 separate armor mods right? This mod was made in 2013
As someone who was around at the time when Christian's mods were new, these were not included in "Immersive Armors" at the time. Christian was also credited for his contribution to the compilation as someone else mentioned. Even had this been unclear, Christian's texture work is unmistakable, from his Hevno Dovah Warhammer to this, the work is clearly all by the same person.
If you want I could help you set up to port the mod yourself? I work nights and have a crap ton of time on my hands. Message me if you want a toddler-proof walk-through. :)
So, I'm going to port this over to SSE (for my own personal use), is there a general way to edit the mod files to not have it distribute to Tullius? I have Imperial Champion going and don't want it to replace that version of his armor. I'm guessing if not this route, then I have to go into xEdit and fiddle around? I'd rather not do it that way (xEdit is my last-resort option most of the time), but would like to have it be edited manually from the get-go, in case I unistall and want to re-install later without fiddling again. I save mod archives to a specific folder just for that reason.
