MISSING MASTER:  For anyone experiencing the RSChildren - Complete.esp missing master issue, I have uploaded the esp. it can be found under optional files -OR- you can simply rename your esp to RSChildren - Complete.esp.  All my files actually contain the "RS Children complete" esp. I don't think RS's MOD has been changed but it may have been repacked. Due to RL time issues, I am not sure when I will be able to sit down and sort this out the way it "needs" to be done.  (We have received bad news regarding my husband's health. I choose to spend what time I can with him... not looking for sympathy just want to explain.) The "rename" fix is down and dirty...but should get your game up and running.

For those who are having problems to install this mod with Simple Children LE.

    Follow this:

To fix the black squares textures bug in the girls clothes; just go to the Prince and The Pauper mod folder and then textures/clothes/childrenclothes/F/ and then delete all the n.dds files. Do not delete the .dds, delete only the n.dds

To fix the children not properly using their "class" clothes, go to the Simple Children LE mod page:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/96196?tab=files

and download the file "Simple Children LE - Patches All In One".

Open the file and then open the "princeNpauper folder" and then open the "02pnpUSLEEP" folder, and drag the PnP_FacegensForKids.esp to your Simple Children LE folder.

Now for the load order of the mods:

    (I use MO2)

LOOT will always load PrinceandPauper.esp and PnP_FacegensForKids.esp above the FacegenforKids.esp from Simple Children LE.

Use LOOT to sort your mods and then manually change the order to this:

FacegenforKids.esp (this one is from the Simple Children LE)
    PrinceandPauper.esp
    PnP_FacegensForKids.esp

    It's done!

I think I broke it D: It's just the girls' clothes that are weird, not the boys'. Not sure what I've done... Uninstalling and reinstalling to see if I made a stupid mistake first time round, so will see what happens...

It might be a late for the answer, but after a bit of experimentation I figured out the solution. So to fix this I removed the files that ended with _n from Data\Textures\clothes\childrenclothes\f . For example remove the childrenclothes_n.dds but keep the childrenclothes.dds . It fixed it for me at least so I hope it does for you as well. As a side note, I think this has to do with lighting/how the shadows work since the textures looked normal when the kid was in the shadows. Happy modding!

Edit : I think there is an issue with the gamwich's textures? Try using dovahkinder textures if all else fails.

      @bravepirates16

I believe you're correct, there is some kind of error with gamwich's textures because I received that weird texture bug and when I re-installed the mod and chose dovahkinder instead the problem was solved. If it helps anything I saw this texture bug when I was outside and the climate was rainy and cloudy at the time. I currently have Climates of Tamriel and ELFX installed at this time in my mod order and I use MO as mod manager.

When I give my children new clothes, they don't change clothes and they keep their old clothes on or they strip into underwear and remain in the underwear. I tried to save ad reload, I tried to give them different clothes, but nothing worked. after several dress-giving, saving and reloading, it got fixed, but now Sissel refuses to wear shoes.

I wish there was a way to make the clothes wearable for your character when you're using the RS children playable feature. Besides that though, 10/10.

HI! I'm having the issue where all the boys are wearing the blocked lumberjack shirt. Editing the files in xedit did not work for me, any other solutions?

Hy! I am very new in modding (started today). I am not sure which of the 2 main file should I download. I Have 1.6 updated Anniversary upgrade. I dont have Kids Are Alright mod or TK or Simple Children, and dont want to download them if not necessary. I have Hearthfire multiple adoption and Dragons Keep mods only (and all DLC). Which should I download? Or should I download both main files? Thank you for help.

Omg I love this mod! Thank you so much, Jade! And Gamwich! Massive improvement in the quality of Tamriel. I am running this with Simple Children and now the kids...are alright. ;)

Remember to load this below any other mods that even remotely effect children. Vortex done me wrong!

Thank you for this great mod! I need help with it though, haha.
I have a problem with the children not really wearing clothes which they should wear. i.e The Jarl's kids Dagny, Frothar, and Nelkir, are wearing clothes from the middle class, and the orphans don't wear their orphan rags. I sincerely need help. Thank you for this wonderful mod!

This is my exact problem, too. I'm using RS Children and Interesting NPCs, still in legendary edition, not SE. Experimented with putting esps in different orders, but whatever I do, the kids are not in the clothes for their class. I just gave up for now, but this really irks my...IMMERSION.

Necroposting for future users. I had this problem using PnP with Gamwich's excellent textures and resolved it with load order. I'm using the awesome Simple Children mod which comes with an optional Skal coat for kids and I've got Interesting NPCs with relevant patches. The Vortex was loading Prince and Pauper before these mods. Combing through the comments, Jade mentioned PnP needs to load after ~any~ mod that alters children, even mods that effect merchant inventories. Putting PnP below everything even mildly child related sorted out my issue. Now the royal kids are wearing their special unique named outfits and the street urchins are back in rags! (Except for that orphan girl from Interesting NPCs in Riften but I'll give her a pass.) Huzzah!

    hello.

The mod is perfect, but I am playing as a child race and it is really bugging me that I cannot equip the clothes without using console commands, even with console commands, I cannot add them into my inventory and I have been all over the internet trying to find a solution but It's no use. I think that it would be greatly appreciated by me and many other people on a playable child mod if we were able to see them on ourselves as well.

I would do this myself, but I do not know my way around creation kit, I tried, but it was too confusing.

thanks, I appreciate this hard work!
