INTRO
-----------------------------

Use the "Ring of Sales" to instantly summon traveling merchant Goonie! She always carries 20,000 gold and will even buy your *cough* stolen goods!

Easier to use than similar mods! Equip the "Ring of Sales" and Goonie will appear instantly. This special ring will not unequip your current favorite ring, and unequips automatically after use!

The basic aim here was to add a merchant who actually has enough coin to buy your goods so you don't end up lugging them all over Tamriel. Since Goonie comes to you, you never have to abandon a dungeon to unload heavy goods or resupply! Goonie also offers several storage chests that the player may use free of charge. These storage chests are completely safe, anything you store in them will be there whenever you need it.

To obtain the "Ring of Sales," locate Goonie outside the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun. She is the only merchant who can sell you the ring. However, for convenience, a copy of the ring can be attained from the work table near the front door of Warmaiden's in Whiterun, across from the Drunken Huntsman.

Note: If Goonie will not talk to you upon first meeting her in Whiterun, simply save your game and then load that save. It is a known bug with custom merchant NPCs in Skyrim.

INSTALL
-----------------------------

Simply extract this archive into your "..\skyrim\data" folder and enable the "Instant Merchant.esp" file in the "Data Files" section of the Skyrim launcher.

USAGE
-----------------------------

Upon loading the mod for the first time you will receive a pop-up message asking if you want the ring immediately or if you want to acquire it on your own in-game. If you choose to get it on your own you may purchase it from Goonie herself in Whiterun or find it on the workbench out front of WarMaiden's also in Whiterun. When starting a brand new game with a new character you will only be asked if you want to receive the ring after you've been unbound by Hadvar or Ralof.

* Version 2.3
- goonie will now teleport away when attacked by enemies. she's no fighter so this keeps her safe.

- finally fixed goonie's mismatched face. was an issue with creation kit not including the .nif face mesh and .dds face texture. these files and now manually packaged.

unfortunately, the .dds and .nif files couldn't be compressed, so the mod went from ~330kb to ~1mb, no way around this guys, sorrry

- items sold to goonie by the player will no longer be kept in her vendor list.
NOTE:
this means that when you sell an item to goonie, it will not be there to buy-back next time you summon her. so, if you sell something to goonie by accident, you need to buy it back from her before you exit the bartering dialogue because it will be gone afterwards.

- reworked how the introduction message is displayed. when starting a new game, it will delay until the player's hands have been unbound. when loading a save that did not previously have instant merchant enabled, it will be delayed by 6 in-game minutes.

- added a 'nevermind' option to goonie's storage dialogue to simplify going from storage to sales for the player
- re-exported the facegen / facetint data for goonie

this should help goonie stand still a bit better than before. although, she still seems to do this backing up behavior when in whiterun which must have something to do with that being her editor location. i'll look into this more

NOTE:
the ring of sales uses a custom slot not used by any vanilla armors. there may be a chance some custom armors use this slot, so, just in case, any item displaced by the ring of sales will now be re-equipped after goonie is summoned

- further adjusted goonie's ai package to prevent combat and combat reaction

the only concern i have is that by removing combat from goonie's ai she may become too cowardly and try to flee the scene when she should be selling to the player. if this happens and becomes an issue let me know so i can work something else out

i know some people use SkyUI and don't see the need for multiple containers. its simply for those of us who dont use SKSE and SkyUI and need a simple way to keep things organized

NOTE:
there are 3 options when you ask goonie about storing items, they refer to the type of item you want to store. They are: weapons and armor, potions, scrolls and spellbooks, and misc items. you can actually store whatever you want in them, i just gave them categories to help you organize since the game wont organize containers on its own

- no need to stand up, goonie will now barter with you even if youre sneaking (thanks fenixPhlame [Ministry of Morale] for pointing this out)
NOTE:
when you summon goonie while sneaking, the game would act as though you were trying to pickpocket her. now, she will offer the barter menu automatically when the player is sneaking instead of trying to initiate dialogue.

- goonie is no longer compelled to lend aid during battle. sometimes, if goonie was summoned and an enemy began an attack on the player immediately after, goonie would attempt to help the player fight and refuse to offer her services.

- found an easier approach to the trespassing glitch and implemented it with a new script.
NOTE:
the new method of allowing goonie to interact with a player who is trespassing is not only more efficient, but also prevents the faction ownership and/or actor ownership of the active cell from being changed beyond the duration of goonie to player interaction

- fixed a glitch involving player trespassing that would prevent goonie from interacting with the player
NOTE:
this glitch only happened when the player was trespassing on someone else's property (only confirmed location was the dwemer museum in markarth [thanks Vinarius Veritatis]). in these instances goonie would appear when summoned, but then only tell the player that they didn't belong there before disappearing again. this glitch is fixed for this property and presumably for any trespassing scenario

* Version 1.3
- goonie will now dress for the weather and situation. she will wear armor in dangerous areas, bundle up when it snows, etc
- more minor inventory adjustments: more ore, adjusted amounts, some items removed
NOTE:
the clothing script is still very basic. it currently only understands a few basic conditions: inside/outside, current weather (rain/snow/overcast/pleasant), dangerous areas. so, even if there's snow on the ground, if it's sunny outside, she won't be in her snow gear. at the moment, i have a plan for expanding this script to understand the basic region that goonie is in, but it may take a bit of time

- adjusted total amounts of certain items in vendor list: potions, soul gems
- added a chance at some enchanted weapons/armor/jewelry when goonie's stock refreshes (every 48 game hours)
NOTE:
you may not see any enchanted items in the vendor list when you first load this update, you may not see them until a full 48 hours have passed in-game (depending on whether or not this is your first time loading the mod)

- removed some of the clutter from vendor list; pots & pans etc.

- added 1 daedra heart to vendor, requested
NOTE:
there is only 1 daedra heart in goonie's inventory. i was hesitant to add this item as there is at least 1 quest that requires you to find a daedra heart. i dont want to ruin a quest, but the hearts are very hard to come by. if you think it should be removed, please, let me know. it was added upon request

- finally fixed glitch that caused goonie to sometimes be absent from whiterun when the mod is run for the first time. she should always be present in whiterun now

- adjusted goonie's ai package to keep her from getting involved in fights unless attacked first. she will still ignore attacks from the player
