I'm stuck after managing to do the dive for the crystal without passing out from the cold. I just can't find the crystal. According to the map I'm in the right place. What does it look like? How big is it, could it spawned underground?
I think there is a problem with this mod, or with Faralda's behavior. I walked up to the college, and Faralda said my skills were insufficient to be considered useful (a few points short for 25 Conjuration). She said to go practice and try again. Well, I did. However, she no longer appears at the bridge. I waited around all day and night. I even tried a console command (placeatme) does not work. The Faralda that appears only has vendor dialogue for selling and training, nothing else. I am playing Ultimate Skyrim, so have the Immersive College mod as well. I'm sure she is either sitting in her room or giving lessons, but the front gate is locked to me, requiring a key.
You're playing with a modpack, which is in addition filled with tons of outdated mods itself. Adress the issue to modpack author, not this mod, as it's an issue not on its side.
Although late, maybe someone will be helped by it. There might be some interference between faraldas routine and her awaiting the player outside. to solve, type into console: prid 0001c1a5 moveto player then she will appear before you and you can talk to her
I come from SSE and that converted version which I consider bloated. I removed MCM quest from this LE version and I'm going to use it instead. I always try to keep my game simple.
Laezar, you need to find the file itself and uninstall the "khajit speak" version. The mod author included a helpful patch for a different mod, but for us who don't use that separate mod, we end up having a sort of double-installation of this one mod!
I've disabled the .esp, and deleted the file from the folder, but I still have two menus. Reinstalling SkyUI has no effect, nor does reinstalling this mod, and repeating the deletion/deactivation process.
This isn't exactly the end of the world, but it's a hassle if I want to alter the requirements, since I have to do it twice to be sure.
I accidentally left both of the .esps on. Somehow missed where it said to only use one. Any negative effect to turning off the Khajit one since I don't have Khajit speech mod? Had about 10 hours on my character, but I can start another character. I haven't even been to Winterhold yet if that makes a difference.
So I bumped the requirements up to needing a skill level 30 since I was playing a Breton and you start with conjugation 25. I raise my conjugation skill to 30 and Faralda tells me I'm not skilled enough. I have to drop it down to my next highest skill level (alteration at 21) in order for her to let me take the test. Then she asks me to cast magelight instead of a conjugation spell. It works, I got in but it was just a bit frustrating.
Edit: I figured out it was because I accidentally gave the answer for alteration when she asked what I sought in the college so the Better College Application made her test my alteration skill instead of my highest level skill
Had even worse confusion after choosing an ambivalent 'I just wanted to see what it looks inside' during her greeting. The game assigns you a random requirement, but Faralda doesn't even mention which school I'm not proficient at. So to legally enter you have to guess which branch to level up.
It'll be nice to able to change the assigned school. Or at least display the dialogue as 'I'll take your test [in Destruction], then'.
P.S. Not sure if the mod or not, but Faralda offers to buy a spell after I already purchased it from her.
which .esp should i use one says normal and one says khajit speaak.. i assume they are the same one is for khajit and one is for all other races?? but i should only use one correct?
I strongly suggest making two optional files, or at least adding installation section to description. It was confusing for me as well. Otherwise I love your mod!
Would you consider releasing a version without the MCM? Your default settings are fine and I would really like to reduce the number of MCM menus I have.
Just fire TES5Edit (or SSEdit in my case) with this mod loaded and remove the quest COWERMCM [QUST:02003310]
Then if you want to tweak manually the settings in-game, enter the console command and type Set CollegeStudentSkill to # Set CollegeStudentMagicka to #

Edit nevermind, I was using two esp's accidentally.
