Look, I'm a few years late to comment but...would you mind tweaking the male version by relocating the Quiver back to the original vanilla position cause when i used it with Archery Combat Overhaul the animation acted as if the quiver was still in the vanilla position while the quiver is placed on the lower back section.......it would mean a lot of this comment was noticed cause i REALLY love this mod and I don't want to spend another 2 days trying to find the perfect bow placement mod

Great mod. However it isn't working with belt fastened quiver. Is there any fix for this?

Sigh. There are many similar mods and they all have a big problem: the bow's string is clipping through the character's torso.

I understand there is no way around it, as that would require the bow's string to be attached to the chest armor and shape up according to the chest armor, and that can't really be done. But still, it looks...bizarre.

I have a big problem with bows because I play argonians and all bows clip through their tails when sheathed on the back, and I absolutely LOATH clipping.

i expected something quite diffrent^^. this is not the way bows are carried^^ thats the way children carry them around, because they are actually small enough to do it XD. kind of dying here, but still nice work. does what its supposed to

Funny thing is that the original way is actually much more accurate than this.

This way of carrying a strung bow, with the belly of the bow towards your back and the string across your chest, only works in Hollywood and with very low poundage bows. Even at 45# drawweight (which is the lowest end of small-medium game hunting) carrying the bow this way would be quite unpleasant due to the pressure of the string. It would also put unnecessary stress on the bow (unless a modern laminated type) and wear the string out a lot faster.

The vanilla way is actually correct. Most commonly one would use a bow quiver (mostly for traditional short bows) or have the bow strapped to the quiver or backpack.

    A few examples:

That is what i am looking for since...forever in skyrim modding.
Very important minor detail...like not having weapons (bows in this case) just floating or glued to you.
Due to nonexisting modding skills, i can't create this, but if you know any mod that does this, please let me know.

      Thank you!

In reality, carrying a bow this way, even with a low draw-weight, isn't particularly good for the bow or the string in particular. I agree, what we need are bow quivers.

So, for people who are still wondering why this mod doesn't work if you try to plug and play it through NMM...

The author did not specify what folder the .nif files should go into, so NMM dumps it into your Data folder. You need to manually put the .nif files in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets" (or whatever the equivalent is for you, "\character\character assets female" for the female model)

Had the same problem and fixed it no problem since I had a feeling that was what NMM was doing.

I have xp32 skeleton mod , with frostfall quiver position , back hip dagger and sword on hip installed and i can't seem to make this mod work out, i wan't this to change the position of the bow alone so it doesn't clip with my backpack but it won't change its position, any ideas?

So I have a problem where the bow will be placed correctly, but my other weapons will be placed strangely. For example, my sword will be placed on my back, and my dagger on my bottom back. Also, the quiver seems to be placed like it would be placed in Frostfall (bottom back). I've checked through my mods, and it seems that the skeleton.nif for this mod is what's causing the problem. I have xp32 installed, but not on the settings that would cause the sword or dagger to be placed on my back. Any advice?

If you haven't, replace the file in "Data/meshes/actor/character/character assets female". Back the original file someplace else first, just in case :-)

Hello. Mind sharing where I can find the armor you're using in the pics? Been collecting sleek ones like that for my character and followers. Thanks :-)
