Oh gods why would you want this as a standalone? Then you'd have those clunky looking trash sticks in vanilla. I still use the old replacer version. I mean the textures are super primitive and the weapons look more Final Fantasy than Skyrim, but I'll take it over the vanilla ones any day, so thank you for this mod.
Update: Just realized I've been using this mod in Special Edition forever, since I bought SE..... LOL! I can't believe it works.
Hey Gizmodian! Really awesome mod, I wouldn't have found it unless the porter docteur87. ported it to the special edition one. I really love the detail you put overall in the sword, it really makes it Skyrim but also really unique (like a boss weapon of some sort which is awesome!), I showcased your mod, through the port, and also gave you and the porter kudos for a job well down - you both deserve recognition. I tried adding it to media but it seems like the video file isn't there yet, but we'll see. I hope you like the video and keep modding, you have a lot of great weapon mods I want to showcase if ever it gets ported over to the special edition :).
The link is to a picture showing what the 1h sword looks like in my game. The 2h looks fine. It's only the 1h thats messed up.
I do have multiple mods containing swords. All of them add new weapons except Unique Uniques which alters only the unique weapons in the game.
The only thing I can think of that alters all weapons in the game is LeanWolf's Better Shaped Weapons, but if that is what is causing the problem wouldn't the 2h be effected as well?
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
I have been using this mod (replacer version) since past few years (see my screenshot in the images section), and for me, it is one of the must-haves for any Skyrim playthroughs! It looks beautiful in third-person or first person view, and as Silver swords are still not that commonly available in the game, and have natural edge over undead and werewolf enemies, so this unique-looking weapon is a perfect accessory for a starter character. Once I am leveled enough, I usually slay some Silver Hand rogues and get hold of their Silver Swords. Later during my gameplay, I invariably migrate towards the latest weapon mods, but there's always a few beautiful Silver Swords adorning some weapon plaques in my modded player homes. They are just so nice looking and elegant and useful!
Question. Looking at the recipe for the vanilla silver greatsword in TES5Edit, I noticed that the 'created object' (CNAM) is a steel greatsword. Not sure if this is on purpose or just an oversight. It was an easy fix to change it to silver greatsword (0010C6FB). Just wanted to know.
