I hope people enjoy my sun/sunglare addition to Skyrim. The vanilla game lacks a bit of visual sparkle. I made this mod to address that weakness. Enjoy!
UPDATE: SOLVEIG NATURAL EDITION is now available. This is a cinematic sunglare, but with a more realistic appearance. For people who like a more "realistic" sun glare in their game.
UPDATE: I've added the Solveig Performance Edition textures for download. This is a performance friendly version that preserves the dramatic rainbow effect while having fewer sun rays. I've been using Climates of Tamriel (since Pro80 added his patches), so I made this version to work with CoT.
I hope people enjoy this new version. You can never have too many sunglare options.
Is there a way to reduce the size and intensity of the glare? I've tested so many different weather mods, the sun is now so bright I can't even see it, there's just an orb of white light filling half the sky.
Can anyone tell me if this possibly lower fps ingame? I wasnt sure if that could come from this sunglare mod or not. It doesn't matter who answers first, just whoever knows the answer.
I have this mod installed but I'm not seeing the effect. Are there any particular settings either in the game INI or in the ENB that I could try messing with? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
I'm using the SGS hi fidelity ENB that comes with Onyx. Do the installation instructions for Climates of Tamriel also apply to Onyx?
Hmm I'm drawing a blank then. When I look at a sunset all I see is a circle that's a lighter shade than the rest of the sky. I'll try to get a screenshot.
OK so I installed it manually and I still didn't see it. Then I removed it completely, both the manual installation and the Mod Organizer install, and I don't think I'm seeing the vanilla sunglare either. I can't be sure because I don't know what the vanilla sunglare is supposed to look like. In the Bilago configurator it looks like there's a few settings that affect the sunglare but they're all set to the default.
Solved it! This setting in enblocal.ini made the sun glare texture visible again:
[PERFORMANCE] SpeedHack=false
Afaik the memory limitation that made SpeedHack=true relevant for OldRim isn't even an issue in the 64 bit version, so I don't know why this would be turned on by default.
Thanks to the almighty Rallyeator for clueing me in to the solution. And thank you Gamwich for this mod, it looks incredible.
Probably already has been addressed but oh well I'll ask anyway:
I keep getting messages that my mod organizer is not set up to run Skyrim even though I'm downloading this mod for special edition. I'm considering a manual install but I would like some confirmation that it is safe.
Please answer back I loved this mod when I used to play Oldrim!

I installed this with Mod Organizer just like any other mod.
