**** Aplologies all, the last couple of years have been insane! Starting to pay attention again though, maybe going to try finishing Fallout4 first though, thanks to all who've helped out in my absence ****
The latest version has an installer for NMM so that you will now only have one plugin for the Mod, regardless of the number of DLC's you have installed. Simply install the Mod with NMM and activate it and it will install the correct version of the Mod for your game. If you're already using FF, make sure to uninstall/remove whichever FF plugins you currently have before installing the new version. Under "Optional Files" you will find patches for those of you who use: Ethereal Elven Overhaul - make sure to place it after EEO in your load order. ApachiiSkyHair NPC Overhaul or renraw's Female Only version - make sure to place it after whichever ASH you use in your load order.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!FOR ANYONE WHO FELT DECIEVED and/or FRUSTATED I HAVE THE FIX HERE!!!!!! [] Well the thing about [Opposite Gender Animation] in the game code will or will not be registered depends on how we install the game and/or the mod. Shortly if you download saves or pasted your old un-moded saves this... "not all of the NPC’s will necessarily be affected straight away, but as time goes on the changes will eventually kick in" will not occur. Unless, you start all fresh or you install the mod right after the Helgen parts. Thus! the change will "eventually kick in" with your newly made save games and whatnot. Or to put it safely just install the game and install the mod right of the bat! PROBLEM SOLVED BUT For you who download saves or pasted your old un-moded saves and getting frustated: 1. Use Save Tool (The Save Cleaner software thingy) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/ 2. Open the game, and be right in front of the NPC you want to convert (Hulking housecarls or manly legate) e.g.: In front of your pimped up anime moded bikini armored Lydia (or if you use UFO then you can gather all housecarls in one room)... 3. Save the game in front of her (or them) 4. Open Save Tool 5. Open the saves that you are in front of her/them and search their base ID (not the ref ID) under script instances in Save Tool e.g.: Script instncs > Actor: 000A2C8E (that's Lydia) 6. Delete the Base ID 7. Open the game again > load the saves and voila!!! they generate the new ref ID based on the base ID that is already affected by the mod A.K.A they become proper women. 8. ALWAYS REMEMBER if you do it without the targeted NPC away or not in front of you they will be gone completely, though the game have their base and ref ID but your save doesn't, you'll lose them and calling them back by console would mess things up. 9. I recommend only edit the housecarls in your saves if this mod failed to do it's magic. Because this meticulous process took times and please have life. 10. The creator of feminine females is an awesome dude, but it's just Skyrim game that hasn't been sought thoroughly about female followers by Bethesda. 11. Please pin this 12. Enjoy!!!
FIX FOR REPLACERS! In case someone having trouble with masculine walking for females and using any replacers. 1. You need to open .esp with your replacer in TES5Edit. 2. Click on Non-Player Character (actor) 3. Write into filter opposite gender anims (for quick search). 4. Delete opposite gender anims, leave that space blank. 5. Save it. 6. Then use save cleaner as described by Bertral in the comment bellow. 7. Profit.
Allright so i spent like the whole day editting this mod on ts5edit/xedit and i found out that this mod is not usleep and cutting room floor or supplemental patch dependent which means that its records overwrite the fixes made to npc by such mods so i had to carry over the fixes to it AND this mod does not remove the "Use Opposite Gender Animations" from 1/4 of the npcs it claims it does (like bandits, thalmore female elevs and "Warrior class" npc like Delphine, housecarls or stormcloak soldiers and city guards).
if you use npc replacer mods u have to load them on ts5edit with this mod and check the Non-playable (Npc) records to make sure that the female npcs dont have the "Use Opposite Gender Animations" records and load this mod BEFORE any npc replacers after editing it.
if its ok i can upload my "fixed" version here but dont know if i can or allowed to.
Oh and u have to start a new game for this mod to take effect.
I think I've finally found a fix for some followers not updating to female animations. I tried this on Mjoll, and it works without having to start a new game. - Back up your save file. - Download TESV ESS Files Editor and launch it. - Open your latest save file (.ess) with TESV ESS File Editor. - Browse to "Change Forms". - Find your NPC. Click on his entry, and then "delete". - Save the modified file, and load it from the game. (Your NPC may have to be near you in the save you are editing for it to appear in the list.)
To find your NPC, you need his Base ID, which can be found on various wikis. Add 4 in front of this ID, and search for this ID in "Change Forms" to delete it. All NPCs have "NPC_" after their ID. For example, if you look for Mjoll, her base ID is 0001336B. It will appear in the list as [41 33 6B] NPC_. Click on this ID and delete it.
This basically erases your NPC from the save files. However in my case, I found that the Mjoll didn't move an inch from her previous location. If your NPC is part of a quest, it may or may not break the quest. This fix may or may not work if you have mods still conflicting with this mod.
IT WORKED!!!! Thank you so much man! I had lost all hope and was about to start a new game but your comment saved me. FINALLY no more ape-like housecarls. If I was Sheogorath id give you a house full of cheese, but unfortunately Im not, so kudos will have to do I guess.
Hey, so I'm trying to do what you're saying but I can't find Lydia in the editor. Her base ID is 000A2C8E, but in "change forms" there's no option to search for an NPC. All it lists is their form ID. Using your example of Mjoll, it shows her form ID "[41 33 6B]", Change Flags, Type, Version, Length 1, Length 2, and Data, but I don't see a Base ID listing anywhere. Do you know Lydia's form ID? Or please explain how to search for her in "change forms"?
Has anyone used this method to fix a DLC character? I'm trying to fix Rayya on my current playthrough, I know this mod is working for me because Rayya is fixed if I start a new game. I'm having trouble finding her in my saved game, I've had no problem finding any NPC from the base game though.
I did everything correctly also. Tried it on Lydia, Borgakh, Mjoll, and Delphine. All in the same cell. Not set as followers. All without any crazy armor or gear equipped. Completely nekkid. No luck.
I know I'm like 2 years late, but Rayya was 00 28 3A for me. Everyone who has followed you has a different change flag number than the rest of the NPCs.
YOU ARE A GOD! I search for a solution since I play Skyrim. I don't know how you found this trick but you have my entire respect XD Like I said, God-like! Thanks for your sharing.
Not working. Yes I still am playing LE, for 6 years now. I looked at the mod's content. Not worth wasting time rectifying the issue. No offence to mod author, really appreciate the effort to make this mod. It's just the game is too old and buggy.
when the mod author said "'ApachiiHairStyles' should load after 'Feminine Females'" I am assuming that they were NOT talking about 'ApachiiHair.esm' because in vortex one cannot load an esp before a master. Also I went through the mod description again, author also said that the change in their walking animation might take time to register or something. So i'll give it another try.
EDIT: I am assuming Bijin replacer mods are hindering this mood's working. If so, then sadly bijin's author hasn't provided with any patches. Not going to compromise their looks to fix their ape like walking animation. :v And nvm the apachii load order question, as that apparently is talking about the mod 15411 which I am not using.
If you install this mod, you need to start a new game for the female walking to show up in the game. Otherwise, NPCs will ignore the mod. I use NMM 0.72.1, so don't know how Vortex does things. Loading hair styles after this mod will undo what this mod does without a patch.
Interferes with Lydia Sylvan Makeover Standalone, reverts her to vanilla. all mods installed with NMM and ordered with LOOT. no other interference noted, and the problem goes away after disabling feminine females.
Any NPC overhaul loaded after this will override it and you'll still have the wrong gender animations. I learned this because it broke my Delphine NPC replacer and a few others.
I used TES5Edit to add this mod as a Master to my NPC replacers with the wrong gender animations. Problem solved. No matter what I did with load order, this was the only thing that worked in my case.
Please author help me.I installed this mod but lydia, jordis, lona, rayya all are walking in manly animation.I tried waiting, fast travelling etc didn't help.Do i have to start a new game for this mod to work? Will it change their animation on a saved game already? How long will it take to change their animation in a saved game?

at the moment i was only trying to change jenassa, and it worked.

I confirm that this trick is still working, for who said it doesn't work, you need to run your FNIS again check gender specific and update.
