HELP NEEDED. Ok, I have tried all I can think of to find a guide or fix for the weapon drop and dagger not showing in right hand. Need some advice from some modders on how to fix these issues.
Hello Draco1122, just so you know, I'm using your weapon data to help me create a long overdue standalone version of Cuteunit's Ebonmourne. just know i'd let you know as per your note in the description of this mod.
Oh boy, I would have had to do more than I thought and I don't know how to do some of it so i can't build this mod as I thought. But, at least I tried!
Hey Draco, you know how in Cuteunit's mod the 2 Hand "light sword" is found on the ground by Meridia's Temple?
Sooo... we know that 2 Hander can drop on the ground just fine. Why are you futzing with textures and meshes? Copy the 2 Hander information twice, edit the first copy to 1 Hand and the second copy to Dagger. Go find Ebony 1 Hand and Dagger, copy/paste info for swing speed/sound effects/hit effects.
*Assuming Dawnbreaker is Ebony quality, which I generally assumed it was. Might be Daedric. :3*
That should pretty much be this mod. The added on Forge-able-ness is the only complicated part in my mind.
Good advice but, the two handed meshes are the same untouched meshes and textures and still will not drop for some reason I did make them into bsa tho. I know logically it makes no since but I copied them right from her files. Now I have done all you said in the creation kit. The only thing I have done is rescale in nifskope the one handed and then to dagger size then tranform so it would take in-game as it wouldn't without. Again only the one handed was touched. Copied data from daedric in creation kit not ebony. I hope this helps these are the things I have tried.
Recopying meshes and redid everything. Never touched textures at all btw. One Handed is the same meshes as dagger just dagger is smaller. One handed works daggers don't. I am thinking I need to use bender and reconvert but I have never used blender before to be honest. Why I asked for help. Triple checked all the info in the creation kit.
If you have any positive suggestions please let me know I am willing to learn and see this thru.
P.s Now, Cuteunit did tell me transforming can break meshes so that can explain the one handed and dagger so. I need to know another way to rescale as that was the only guide I could find on google on how to rescale in Skyrim.

Maybe I have a little suggestion for you. If one use Nifscope, it´s not always a good idea to hit the "apply" button. That was my rescent "lesson" I was teached by Nifscope. Just rescale things but do not hit "apply" inside Nifscope, just save as it shows up in the preview window. The rescale works optical and most of the time anyway. And the apply button rearanges every references to any points and so on. This can break informations or cause a lack of it somewhere.
Worked for me, as I was trying to rearange positions of Draugr glowing eyes for a armor-mod-helm (Cinder Armor Helm with red eyes).
It showed up properly on Elven forge but every time i tried to slide down to the 1 hand sword version my game was frozen, i had to shut down the game. I was unable to solve the issue so it seems i cant use it.
Get the mod add item menu. This mod gives you an item that when activated gives you a list of all the .ESP/.ESMs that you have installed, selecting one will open a "container" (eg. a chest inventory window) giving you access to every item that plugin/master provides, you can then select items to place directly into your inventory just like a normal container/chest/NPC inventory, allowing the player access to take any item in any mod they wish.
Not a for sure fix but that's usually from the texture being corrupt or missing. Try redownloading and reinstalling, the texture might be incomplete from when you downloaded it. This happens a lot with hair mods because the files are so large.
Fantastic mod draco1122, it looks beautiful and is a real blast to use!
However, for some reason the dagger doesn't animate right when used in the right hand (no matter what skeleton or animation set I use, including vanilla). What happens is: the dagger will show up in its sheathed position on the body, when unsheathed, the animation plays but the character holds an invisible dagger (Which still does damage and works as if the dagger was there) but visually the dagger remains in its sheathed position. I'm seeing that a lot of people are having this problem but I'd like to put my 2 cents in to try and help troubleshoot this otherwise flawless weapon mod.
