I personally love the lute, it's my favorite Skyrim instrument. The tunes bards play, however, feel really bland and simplistic, in my opinion. So I contacted Csaba Béke, Hungarian lute player & minstrel, and he kindly gave me permission to use some of his songs in this mod.
Here is a sample of two of the songs I chose for the mod:
Please visit Mr. Csaba Béke's official website for a taste of his fantastic work! The full list of songs I chose is here: - Chorea a l?csei virginálkönyvb?l - Chorea Polonica a l?csei virginálkönyvb?l - Hans Judenkünig: Krisztus feltámadott - Choral - Pietro Bono: Basse Dance "La Magdalena"
I personally think the new modded songs are a lot more authentic, cheerful, and believable - they surely sound like they require some skill to play!
To install, extract the file to your 'SteamSteamAppsCommonSkyrimData' folder. If you want to get rid of them, delete the files from skyrimDatasoundfxmusbardlute.
Take a look here for a replacement for the drum tune. If you are looking for a replacement for flutes, I'd recommend Bard Flute Music - Touhou by JackDigital.
