My sincerest apologies for my absence over the past few years. I felt I had updated my mods to a satisfactory degree and simply lost interest over time, being preoccupied with my studies and work. Skyrim SE's release completely flew under my radar. Now, with renewed interest and vigour, I'll start porting over my older mods as soon as the primary debugging phase for my latest release, Away, Come Away, is dealt with.

Beyond simple nif optimization and preparing the plugins for 64-bit Skyrim, I additionally hope to update all mods to a more modern standard. For instance, I've had a completely redone version of Einherjar Armor laying around on my hard drive for ages and never got around to posting it. I should gradually be updating and porting my older works over the course of this month.

I have just released version 1.6.2 of Æsir Armor.

    It contains:

    • Throttled the CTD, this time.
The crash was caused by some corrupted models. Rather than fixing the models I got a better idea and implemented some new additions - I'm sure you'll like them.

    • Replaced the disablehavokonload scripts with a custom one. You won't notice any difference, but it takes a great strain away for the game.
    • General flickering light fixes.
    • Small roombound fix.
    • Fixed the double beheading bug.
    • Navmesh fix in level one. Several parts were flagged as being under water, when clearly they were not.

Always remember to make a clean save before upgrading. When upgrading from a minor bugfix (only the last part of the version number being changed), maintaining your old save will most likely be harmless. When facing a major bugfix (the second digit being changed in the version number) creating a clean saved game is nearly always mandatory.

    F.A.Q.

Q: Is there a light armour version?
A: Not yet. Might never be. You're talking about a lot of work (A LOT), which costs time I could have been spending on a new project.

Q: Could you make a craftable version?
A: If you want a smithing menu filled with nearly a hundred items, be my guest. I spent months working on the dungeon and will not cast that away by making it craftable.

Q: Is this mod compatible with SkyRe?
A: Yes, it is. Since patch 1.6.0 the mod comes with a MCM menu (which, naturally, requires SKSE) which can be used to manually update the armour values to SkyRe standards.

The fact that this mod is not in SE/AE means that God does not exist.

As a long term mod user, I noticed the more complex a mod, the greater the chance that I will end up removing it due to the odds my overall game will eventually crash, and I will be forced to start looking for fixes. Any chance just a simple mod that adds this fine armor just in a chest somewhere?

    Thanks
