My new mod has been released: Badass Dual Wielding I thought it deserved its own page, and I didn't want to clutter this mod anymore than it already is. I hope you all enjoy! Please read the description.
1. Install IAN main file(s) 2. Conditional--Install XPMS if you will be using Dual Sheath Redux or just want adjusted weapon sheath positions (main version or dagger hip 1hand back version) 3. Conditional--Install the magic-shield arm patch on XPMS file page if you are using XPMS and do not have Dragonborn 4. Conditional--Install FNIS and check the skeleton arm fix patch before running Generate FNIS for Users if you are using XPMS and do have Dragonborn 5. Optional--Install Dual Sheath Redux (make sure you do it right--installation instructions are on the description page along with a video tutorial) or similar mod 6. Optional--Install IAN optional files and overwrite if asked
Note on optional equip/unequip animations:
If you are the type of player who likes to switch things up occasionally with one-handed weapon loadouts (e.g. you might be using dual swords one minute, then a sword and an axe the next, then an axe and a shield, etc. etc.), you will be better off not installing the optional equip/unequip animations. Those animations are aimed at players who like to stick with certain one-handed loadouts throughout a playthrough. I am one of those players, and I'm sure there are many others out there. The equip animations are bound to what is equipped in the main hand, so the same animation will play no matter what is equipped in the left hand. However, there is an animation for each of the weapon types. So there are four draw/sheathe animation sets in total: axe, dagger, mace, and sword. This does open possibilities to have a bit of variety with immersive draw/sheathe animations.
Note on gender specific animations:
If you have gender specific animations active (i.e. FNIS or like mod is installed and animations are in the animations/female folder), make sure you install the animations to the respective gender folders. This will need to be done manually.
Hi I'm looking for an immersive animation for drawing/sheating right hip one handed axe and shield on back combo, does anyone know if this mod have that?
So I'm having a problem with the mod.... The left arm doesn't move at all when sheathing/unsheathing.
I've tried reinstalling both XPMSE and Immersive Armors, I've reinstalled Dual Sheath Redux, I've patched and updated thousands of times - but I get the same issue. I don't understand why this is happening as I had it working before. All the requirements are met in the options and on the mods. If anyone could help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated, as this one feature is the only thing that has randomly stopped working.
Okay, so I fixed it... I didn't pay much attention and didn't realize the animations would conflict if using the same weapons type. My apologies.
However now I have a new problem. My shield is stuck to my back now. It doesn't go to my hand, although I still block as if I have it equipped, it just stays on my back. And I even swapped it out for a spell, the shield was still on my back.
I don't know if this is a Dual Sheaths issue or if this is an animations issue....I've reinstalled both, and the issue remains.
Edit: I've disabled both mods, launched the game, then reenabled them and relaunched the game. The issue remains. It appears to be a Dual Sheaths Redux problem, as I disabled this mod and launched the game again. I'm sorry if this caused any sort of disturbance, and will figure out a way to clear the files to see if that will help remove this bug.
How do you fix the problem with left hand animation?? My character do nothing with left hand weapons they only appears in them hand but the right hand works good...

it doesn't work. No change in sneaking, no 'reaching' for containers and no reading animation when using Skyrim Souls.
