This mod adds 7 Mara amulets and also replaces the vanilla Mara amulet texture. Works for female, male, beast races and custom races.
While the metalized effect I added to the meshes as of v1 of the mod was nice. Over time I became bored of the low quality vanilla texture which I could not clean up very well. So, i created some brand new textures that fit in with the metal effect in a cleaner way. The metalized effect of the mesh remains the same. I just created a new normal, diffuse and specular map.
These amulets are now:
- Added to the level list system for vendors, dead bodies and chests. Please re-run your bashed patch.
- Value increase
- Enchant-able
- Updated the cube map to gdmara_e instead of the vanilla cube map
- You can also find these amulets in the Temple of Mara with a note for donations.
- A chest in the QA Smoke. - type coc qasmoke
The Diffuse, metal, normal textures are all 1k and compressed to DXT1 and DXT5 for the normal map.
Edited the Meshes with an environmental shader added to create the Metalized effect via a new cube map.
I will leave v1 of the mod up in the optional files for anyone who prefers that or wants to use them as resources.
The new amulets are:
Traditional Mara Amulet - Made in Riften by the priests & priestesses of Mara. A solid gold chain holds a large chunk of solid gold which is overlaid with silver filigree and cantered by a rare larimar stone. These are only found on the stony shores of lake honrich as the source has never been found. Three other larimar stones are included on the chain itself, along with two small moonstones. Two solid, polished gold octagons surround the centrepiece which have been inlaid with cobalt enamel and two smaller octagons depict the mara knot, also enamelled, polished gold.
Malachite Amulet - Created in Markarth by convalescing miners.
A solid piece of malachite forms the bed for a quicksilver filigree overlay with an emerald at its centre. The chain is fitted with five smithsonite gemstones and two bronze dwemer coins which are hand crafted by a gentleman named Insanity Sorrow and last, but not least, two large fossils sit in a bed of malachite which is dug from the mine itself. The chain is also crafted from quicksilver.
Sunstone Amulet - A large and beautiful specimen of green tourmaline contains a silver filigree work overlay, cantered with a sunstone. Two small yellow topazes are attached to the chain itself along with five other sunstones of various sizes and perfect quality. Large wooden octagonal beads offset this beautiful piece which is hand crafted in Whiterun by Jewel smiths.
Blood Jasper Amulet - This amulet features five blood red Jasper stones as well as a large specimen to form the bed of the main amulet. The centrepiece is a faceted ruby which is surrounded by a highly polished ebony filigree overlay. Two sets of octagonal ebony frame each side of the amulet. These amulets are crafted in Dawnstar where the mine holds as much red jasper as it does precious metals.
Sapphire Amulet - The silver and blue hues of this amulet are reminiscent of the environ it is created in. The mages of Winterhold added five sparkly moonstones, two cobalt blue amazonite octagonal beads which are inlaid with a silver dragon motif, two larger marble octagonal beads frame the set and are inlaid with a blue enamelled dragon motif protected by a quartz oval. The main centrepiece is a beautiful lapis lazuli overlaid with silver and cantered by a flawless sapphire.
Fluorite Amulet - No less than ten fluorite stones adorn this silver necklace which is offset by a large specimen of charoite. These amulets are crafted by the Rangers of Falkreath during unsavoury weather.
Coral Amulet - Five beautiful coral pieces highlight the beauty of the corundum metal that this amulet is cast in. The coral is imported from Morrowind and the garnet centrepiece is dug from mines local to Windhelm. The intricate craftsmanship of the hexagonal beads is prime dark elf craftsmanship.
