It seems support for this mod has stopped. But fear not, I've made a patch for this mod which reduces the insanely high chance to see the new loading screen down to the default chance, and it also removes two dirty edits and includes fixes from USLEEP. It's only a patch, so install it after the main mod and overwrite when asked.

oooo thank you soooo much fiskin I have really really missed my little Chikydee. Its just not the same not seeing hulking draugr swinging their weapons uselessly down at Chiky whilst I pepper them with spells or arrows and when he gets his spells & shouts.....!. So watch out Alduin you have been warned, Chikydee is on his way!! Yay

The reason I didn't port it cuz I was having issues with the conversion and it involved the dragon quests and I think AFT was interfering with it too. You can try the other author's conversion and see if it works. Check out the posts first to see if anyone had the same issues I was having.
I figured as much. The issues I was having with it, I never would have released it in that form. It would have taken some time to fix the quests involving the dragons and then dealing with all the compatibility issues. The only way to insure it works properly would be to maybe build the mod from the ground up for SE. No thnx
Truly one of the greatest mods on the Nexus. I make sure that this is the first mod I install on any playthrough, because I just LOVE my li'l Chicken friend.
I'm posting this here to act as a resource for anyone in the future:
If you've lost your Chicken friend, and don't want to travel all the way back to High Hrothgar to retrieve her, her id is - 3d0012ce - so that you can summon her to your location.
Additionally, if you want to turn her into a totally passive companion, so that she stops pulling aggro (which, in my opinion, makes the game way too easy because all the enemies ignore you completely), open the console, select her with the mouse, and then enter the following commands.
setav aggression 0 setav confidence 0 setav assistance 0 She will now be fully passive, will not pull aggro, and will stay out of any fights. Enjoy!
This is definitely one of my favourite mods for Skyrim. I love my battle hen, she's always hungry for a fight! After only a couple of hours playing with her, and she's murdered two people in Whiterun. She also went after the Ebony Warrior all on her own. I am so proud of my fierce little battle hen.
I adore the idea of this mod but alas it seems just not to be for me as it freaks out AFT or FamiliarFaces. Everytime I attempt to open their inventory normally it causes my other follower to leave.
So... my chicken is invisible as were the 4 enemy chickens. Is there any way to fix this? For private use only I did convert this mod to SSE. I used detect life to find the 4 enemy chickens and just sent dovahchicken home since I couldn't see it
I found a pretty bad bug (?) about this mod. Everytime i'm killing a chicken that has frost egg and after it i try to trade with my chicken nothing shows up. Trying 2nd time to talk with chicken makes me stuck in a dialogue state but i cannot exit it nor i see dialogue options. I checked multiple times that i have no problem with this before going for Frost egg chicken. It was also causing weird CTD's. This makes me unable to actually finish the chicken quest and get the frost egg because i cannot interact nor play. I killed already 2 chickens (fire and lighting) and had no issues. All my other mods are compatible, i do not use any follower type modes.
Anyone else had this issue or might know what is wrong with the Frost egg chicken? I will be grateful for any help.
Been a long time since last posts but just replaying Skyrim now and i love this fella. Fits perfectly with sneaky characters and it is balanced. He sometimes gets stuck at ice terrains :) I'm getting nervous sometimes to not lose him on a way.
The only problem i met was with the quest. The location of chicken which summons golems is very unfortunate because the impact from the bow pushed chicken off the cliff and i couldn't find a body anymore to loot it for egg. Edit: Managed to find a body :)
Otherwise great fluffy addition to game. Best companion ever! Thank you for making this.
