Does anyone know a mod that does the same but to smithing stuff? Cuz its really annoying to consent about every iron dagger. This mod is great by the way )
MDX_NoAnnoyingDialogs on Mediafire. Here's the link to the forum post, and the search post, respectively: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1451875-no-poison-dialogues/?p=22988550 https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/2rohcq/help_disabling_the_confirmation_box_when_smithing/
Thank you for the link, it does exactly what I was struggling to find! Maybe it's worth mentioning that it's from the same creator, would inspire confidence when accessing an external link but caution is always advised.
What does "replaces others for HUDMessages" mean? I can't really parse that.
Regardless, thanks for making this mod. I've been driven half-mad by this annoying dialog box. I have another mod that auto-applies poisons among various other "get the interface out of the way of game immersion" features, but it just ends up spamming with this unnecessary other interface "feature". It was really strange of Bethesda to implement this in the first place. How often do any of us go digging around in our inventory and select a poison when we didn't really mean to? More to to the point, given how cheap and common poisons are, who on earth would care if they did it by accident? Heh.
No it doesn't so won't give rise to any incompatibility. What it does, basically, is rewrites the game code where it would usually show the message boxes, and instead, accept it or show a HUDMessage at the top left.
Ok, one more question. Given what you know about the way the game code works, could a script be attached to the mechanics of poisoning your blade? For example, could a mod be made which gives you a small chance of cutting yourself while poisoning your blade (and if you cut yourself, you -- the player character -- would feel the effects of the poison)?
Here is what I was thinking. You start out with a percentage chance of poisoning yourself accidentally -- let's say 50%. Once you poison yourself one time at that percantage, the chance is adjusted to 20% until you poison yourself accidentally again .... then it would go to 10%, 5%, 3%, and finally 1%.
This would give you a game experience of 'learning' to poison your weapon properly through trial and error. Even when you're really experienced though, you'd still always have a 1% chance of messing up when you poison your weapon.

I want more deadly poisons as well...
