READ THE DESCRIPTION PAGE FIRST FOR PROPER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS! For those who are too lazy to do that, I'll post a summary of the required settings here again:
Put this setting in your skyrim.ini file: [Grass] iMinGrassSize=75
If you want faster FPS performance (framerate boost) set it between 100 to 128 If you want very thick grass (with fps loss) set it to 40 (or lower, if your pc can handle)
Also check if you have the following lines in your skyrimprefs.ini file: [Grass] b30GrassVS=0 bAllowLoadGrass=0 bAllowCreateGrass=1
Make sure you followed all instructions written first before writing any comment! READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION PAGE Improper installation of this mod (or any other grass mod) can give you an FPS-hit instead.
Thanks to everyone for supporting this amazing mod. I have now released Grass on Steroids Natural Edition - finally a short grass version of this wonderful mod. It uses the same settings and will give the same density and performance without making the grass taller. This is to give way to popular request and for those who don't want the tall grass effect at all. The previous versions are still good choices - Regular (tall grass) and Goldilocks (medium).
With GoS Natural Edition, you will have vanilla level grass sizes and Steroids level of density - with the same realistic "wild" uneven look.
Will there be a green texture version like the mod Dat Grass? I really liked his grass mod but it had a massive FPS hit so I was wondering if there would be a green version like his but without the FPS hit
Hi everyone, I've been inactive from Skyrim modding for two years now so I don't have much time to do modding. I'm currently working on updating the GsO SFO variants for SFO v2.3, please be patient, I'll update them soon.
What kind of witchcraft is this ... when I had little grass I was walking with unstable fps, and now, with the mod, I am fluid and I can see grass as far as the eye can see. THANKS!!! By the way, "Skyrim Flora Overhaul" has a version without grass .. if I use that version, should I use Grass on Steroids Vanilla?

What ENB are you using? The DOF looks very good.
Edit: Ok, I found it. SkyRealism. You should upload your ENB Settings too. You tweaks look fantastic.
Please check my new mod
autoreply: yes, you have to regenerate the grass cache first, and you can see how it works by deactivating it first
so if you use mod organizer 2 like me,edit the files in mod organizer 2\profiles\Default,if you edit in MyGames/skyrim will not work.
also tnks for great mod and sorry for bad english
