Hi guys, as per the mod page, I made some new meshes to finalise the female celts, but applying animations was so problematic that I just gave up, which is why you haven't heared from me for months. Once I have another burst of energy or someone takes over the mod you will see progress again.
Jedo, did we ever finalize the Type D? I've been busy as well and can't remember if we were waiting on your mesh or you were waiting on my texture, haha...
jedo I don't know if this is known but when the stormcloaks wear the helmets their heads are invisible, same for the romans but only the plume helmets, I haven't encountered any Parthians or celts but im guessing its the same for them too???
DO NOT PATCH THIS MOD WITH ReProccer! If anyone is getting the invisible head glitch it is most likely due to SkyRE-ReProccer automated patch if you're using it. Simply uninstall this mod and do a ReProccer patch then re-install the roman mod without patching it with ReProccer. For some reason at the moment they're not compatible. Also leave the roman mods at the bottom or before ReProccer in your load order just to be safe.
Problem is, if you don't use ReProccer, the armours will not be up to par with other armours in SkyRe. So, as I see it, one has to make a choice, accept the odd glitch, or trade for lower armour value. Personally, I find it lil odd, that it's just 1 helmet version for me that glitches. Everything else works just fine. I hope in time, that the glitch is fixed, cuz the mod is awsome. Thumbs up to the modder.
I am actually encountering the same issue without SKYre. Plumed helmets mean invisible heads. I am only using the roman esps as I have another mod for the Stormcloaks, so I cannot say if it affects both but definitely affecting the imperials. Its such a shame because after clocking 900 hours in Rome 2 and prob twice that in Rome 1 total war this mod is the reason Skyrim is even installed on my PC these days....
Quick query I am only using Esps from the main file download are the optional texture files mandatory? Perhaps this is why everyone is having issues? I will test it out and see if this is so at least for the imperials.
I swapped out the esp for the compatibility one, I also downloaded the blue recolour and shield pack and deleted the praetorian esp as it had not textures or meshes for it and as such all items listed as praetorian were invisible. It seems this fixes things. I no longer have the invisible head/helmet issue. However, I do not mean to criticize but either the textures and meshes required for the extra shields/blue equipment need to be added to the main file download or the main file esp edited to remove them. As currently they serve no purpose beyond filling up the smithing list. I manually added the textures myself without their esps as they are already listed and I did not want copies. Hope this helps.
Also fantastic work. Hope you guys get the motivation to keep going.
Am having a SKYRE related problem, you guys know how to fix the SKYRE weapons overiding this mod ones? npc's have gladius in their inventories but are overiden by the imperial shortsword or steel daggers because those do more damage.
hey I would like you to finish this mod Jedo_Dre you have a good ideas and I could give you some ideas to add to this mod if you want to hear them go on steam and find me on steam as zachary.sane ok I like the roman empire I study it a lot ok I would ilke this mod to be finish.
Where can I find the spawning rates for the roman armor on imperial soldiers? This mod has a compatibility issue with the mod I usually use (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27097/?) where imperial soldiers spawn with the normal imperial swords instead of gladii like good romans. I am not using this particular mod, I am using your Roman imperial armor and weapons, just to avoid confusion.
The way I changed the armor to their appropriate values with SkyRe without using the ReProcer is by changing the armor values in the Creation Kit. I change the Lorica Segmenta to somewhere between steel and dwarves quality, the Lorica Hamata to slightly less than steel, the centurions gear to dwarves quality, and general tallius' armor (I forget the name, Lorica Musculata I think) to steel plate. I changed the two types of gladii to slightly better than steel better quality. I am not going into a full tutorial, but the creation kit is surprisingly easy to use (at least when it comes to editing armor values) and there are hundreds of tutorials on the internet.
So if someone plans to make his own mod, woud you gave the mod free to be used too make it easyer and faster of making better meshes and just improve the textures? Because i just planned something like that and just got to your mod which woud be able to save me the half of the time for the mod which i just planned to make. So woud you be that kind? By the way: I know my english is bad. So please forgive me guys. I never really learned it. Dont worry my mod woud be german
really hope to see a comeback, I'm really interested in the Roman Empire and related stuff and really love your mod. Maybe you could look for some help with the animation stuff because there are many armor modders which produce really awesome armors just like you do.
What's that bear armor your wearing in your mod's screenshots, I want to take a look at that mod.. Unless anyone can direct me to the mod itself. Much appreciated
Cant and wont play Skyrim without this mod. when I saw it in youtube years ago I knew that I needed a PC and needed to get Skyrim just to play this one mod. $1700 later and totally worth it. this mod makes the world feel more real and fun. Just on thing, where is the standard I cant find it?
Please don't give up on this mod. It deserves to see more and we have your back. open up a donation so those who cant make can fund. This mod really is the one mod I don't play without.
hey Jedo, brand new to the modding community and your roman armor mod is the spotlight of my playthrough. i was wondering if you could make a standalone and replacer for the stormcloaks, it would be much more immersive to slaughter a bunch of celts throughout the game. i know you already have a historical revival, but i dont want the game to change, just their loadout. P.S. i cant download the historical revival, it says file path, file name or both are too large. idk. seeya
