      Hallo Verodor,

    Hey Verodor

Thank you for revamping & creating this clean version of Real Wildlife. I love using the new items along with the mod "Hunting in Skyrim." I'm currently using it in inside Skyrim SSE. I was wondering if I can have your permission to convert and upload this version of Real Wildlife to the Nexus Skyrim Special edition website? I know that the original mod author says it's fine to re-upload, but I wanted to check with you and see if I could upload the English version of your take on his mod.

    Thanks,

    Phellen

      Hey Phellen,

thanks for your question. I already converted Real Wildlife for Skyrim SE but I set the upload on hidden, because with the Special Edition I already had several issues with people taking my content without asking about it and violating my copyright.
If you are really interested in it, I can reopen Real Wildlife for SE again but I don't want my content to be used without asking for permission.
Nexus really changed for worse with opening for Skyrim SE :-/

      Hey Verodor,

Sorry to hear about people taking this mod without permission. Some people are inconsiderate of people's property and others probably don't know they need to ask first because it has the same name as the original mod "real wildlife" which grants permissions to all freely. Maybe a slight name change for your version would help deter some of that.

Anyways If you do reopen it, I'd definitely be interested in using it since I usually play as a hunter type character, but I understand if you don't want to. Thank you for the reply.

Holidays are good for debugging: I removed all RWS associated mods, I reinstalled them, cleaned all ITMs and UDR with TES5Edit and now I have no errors left, no mysterious unresolved objects, no USLEEP dependency (except if I add RWS-RND patch to my list, but then it is fine and intended).

So, to sum it up: if some one has mysterious errors with your current version, try:
    • remove all RWS mods
    • reinstall original and enhanced version
    • clean both
    • problem solved
Just for reference: I use MO and TES5Edit
    Happy easter holidays !

Maybe this is the source of your error? Which mods are loaded, when you load the patch into TES5Edit?

    It's Skyrim (0), Update(1), Dawnguard(2), Hearthfires(3), Dragonborn(4), USLEEP(5) and #6 is RWS.

    Verodor wrote: Dawnguard(2), Hearthfires(3), Dragonborn(4), USLEEP(5)?
Have you edited the patch? Because the masters schouldn't include Heartfire, Dawnguard, Dragonborn and USLEEP at all.

r131 wrote: No, that's what happens with my out-of-the-box versions.

What happens, when you start the game without USLEEP?
Does it still work or is the game crashing?

I'm bound for USLEEP ...  No scenario for me in playing Skyrim without it

Okay - but to solve that strange problem with Real Wildlife you might have to start the game once without USLEEP. Because I don't know what happened and why Real Wildlife somehow has these issues with only you, so my guess is that somehow USLEEP was set as a master for Real Wildlife while it shouldn't be.
Have you made a merged patch or something?

FYI: I always check my mods with TES5Edit before I use them. It found one ITM " DeathItemMudCrab...something " and I cleaned it for myself (english version). But maybe you better check it out for yourself.
I remember, that I did this also years ago with the german version.

PS/Edit: A check in the english RND patch revealed 1 error (with "receipe..StuffedGourdHawk" and 5 cleanable ITM's. The german RND patch version had only the error.

USLEEP has some globals in that number range and some are identified as USKP.... but I have no clue, what would be your intended one and if it is still contained in USLEEP .. and under which synonym *g*

The compability mod doesn't have anything to do with USLEEP at all. In fact, I didn't work on USLEEP.

The RWSCreaturesMeatGlobal is an leveled list inside of my edited version of Real Wildlife and should be no source of an error at all. Did you install the lastest version of my bugfixed Real Wildlife mod? Because I think I cleaned the bug you are describing with the creature loot, also in a newer version

I took version 1.3.71 from the download page. The date on my hard drive tells me I downloaded it at the 26th of june 2015.
Hmm, so the DeathMudCrab-thing is getting it's meat parts from the RWS...MeatGlobal List. Right? So if I want to check the effects ingame, I should kill some mudcrabs and have look? stupid me, not mudcrab, but  gourd and hawk, right?

      Yes, indeed.
But I'm still confused about the issues you are reporting, because when I load the patch into TES5Edit, I don't get any of these errors. But I also have Real Wildlife loaded with the starting ID of 05 - so all ID-references from there will start with the first two digits 05.
You having the references of 06 means to me, that you somehow got Real Wildlife as the sixth mod in your load order - but maybe the IDs are still loaded with the 2 starting digits "05".

Maybe this is the source of your error? Which mods are loaded, when you load the patch into TES5Edit?

Ah ,  i think I get it. I misunderstood the reference meaning.

So I checked again in TES5Edit and found:
RND patch is still reported with the missing refernce to 05004E6E
In the Realwildlife.esp  there IS the proper Gobal RWSCreaturesMeatGlobal, ... buuuut it has the formID 06004E6E ...
Is this only for me, or can you have a look at your own version? Might this be the issue? If so, it will the easiest fix I've seen so far

EDIT: Just fixed the unresolvable parameter reference in the recepie to 06004E6E formID. Now, at least the errors are clear. I will test it now in game and see what happens next

In cities, some animals like skeevers have trouble with NPCs added by mods. Mod-npcs tried to kill them. Then vanilla NPCs joined the battle, killed each other, the city was messed up until the mod-NPCs were destroyed.

That's bad to hear. Looks like there maybe an error with the leveled lists. Which other mods do you use? Where do these NPC come from that have the problems with the animals?

And are you using the bugfixed version of Real Wildlife or the old version?

Sorry I was too late to answer. I use your version. I use lots of npc mods, so I don't know what is the reason . Now I try to remove skeevers in city streets by TES5Edit.. Maybe a faction issue with citizens

Hi there I was wondering what seems to causing a crash after I exit the helgen keep cave and walking my way to the standing stones always make my game CTD but when I disabled this mod it is no longer CTD.

There seems lot of users have this problem though. Can you maybe please explain what is possibly causing the crash?

      Which version do you use?
This Version 1.342 or the fixed version 1.3.71?

I didn't experience issues with the fixed version but if you continue to have this CTDs I can look into it as soon as my computer is repaired again.

      Which version are you using?
1.342 or the patch which has the version 1.371 which is uploaded here?

Otherwise: Did you install the original Mod first and then the update from here? Do you use other mods which affect the birds (maybe SkyTEST or Birds of Skyrim)?
And do you have the bug without this mod as well?

Remember - the textures for animals are only reset with a cell reset and that only happens after 31 days ingame. So even if you install an updated mod you will have to go to an indoor place and wait for 31 days to reset all cells properly.

      Hey!

Is it only the grouse? Because I had that, too, until I noticed some characters and the Temple of Arkay in Whiteruns interiors all went purple!

It's caused by your VRAM memory running out, so you may have too many mods adding textures and the like to the game, so try out this!

      http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/?

I used it on my old PC and it worked wonders and still use it due to the fact I overload my game with a hundred mods but had forgotten about it til the same grouse or grouses (what is the plural for a grouse anyways?) were walking around. I dealt with it but no one fucks with my Temple of Arkay

Not so fast though. First you'll have to change the ini for it due to it no longer being supported.... Thankfully, someone did it for us!

      http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55803/?

And that's it! Hope it works for you!
