How to use the tool:

Remember a backup is always necessary ^_^ (thats why i took care of it for you :D)


1. Load your SKYRIM save file on your PC/Mac version of SKYRIM.
2. Once you are loaded in the game, open the "console" using the ~ key on your keyboard (top left hand corner of your keyboard)
3. Your game will pause and a black box will appear.
Type in the following exactly as shown: (yes there is a space after the mysave)

save mysave 1


4. The game will now freeze completely and make a set of dump files (2 in total), so you will need to wait a few minutes while the dump is generating the "mysave.ess.txt" AND "mysave.ess"
5. Once the dump is finished a text file will open, you can close it as it is not required

6. Open "SKYRIM Save Cleaner.exe" (it may be located in your "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data")
7. click on "fix all FORMID's" to fix all FORMID's
options are available for

CELL's - fixes most outdoors CTD's (crash to desktop)
Dead NPC's - Resuurects dead enemies
Leveled NPC's - Refreshes enemies

8. Navigate to your Skyrim Save folder and select "mysave.ess.txt" AND "mysave.ess" eg. "C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves"
9. the tool will take approx 2 min searching for the FORMID's
the tool will let you know once this stage is complete as a summary will be displayed
eg. found 1000 out of 12500 FORMID's

10. the tool will take approx 10min removing the found FORMID's (SKYRIM IS HUGE, so is your savefile)
the tool will let you know once this stage is complete as a summary will be displayed
eg. fixed 1000 out of 12500 FORMID's
11. once finished, close the "SKYRIM Save Cleaner.exe"
your save file size will still be the same size as before
12. load your cleaned save file "mysave.ess" in your game of SKYRIM from the Load Menu
13. make a save of your newly cleaned save file, this will now create your new cleaned, smaller, faster save file of skyrim ^_^
14. play ^_^

eg. C:\Skyrim Save Cleaner.exe
C:\mysave.ess
C:\mysave.ess.txt

then, try again ^_^
