  • OBIS is now fully on Steam Workshop! (Sort of)

As you may well know, Steam Workshop finally open its borders and allowed over 100mb mods to be uploaded onto it's servers. I had always promised that as soon as it was available I will be putting up the latest version of the mod into the workshop. Before I had to put up a very old version that was riddled in bugs and issues. Now its fully reuploaded and ready for easy download (I guess).

Unfortunately, I can't package OBIS in the Workshop the same way I do it in the Nexus. So instead, I placed only the core file in the Workshop download. OBISDB, Bandit Patrols, Super Bandit Hell Edition, OBIS LOOT, and the various other patches will still only be available on the Nexus as it will be a hassle to separately package them all into the Workshop. As such I wanted you guys h...

  • Indigoblade’s List of Mods Worth Writing an Article About

Hello bandit slaying chums! As a part of my new game design class, I am quote, forced, unquote, to play Skyrim as a homework assignment. Now as a good student, I’m gonna do it….. Maybe more enthusiastically than my computer science homework, BUT enough about that.

I don’t like texture mods or sexy lady mods, what I want are content mods. Stuff like new weapons in lvl lists, new items, enemies, spells, spawn points, just stuff that enhances the actual GAME, I can care less about how pretty my grass looks. If I wanted look at that, I’ll go outside look at my lawn… Look disgusted and look at my neighbor’s lawn.

Now I want to list a bunch of mods that I think would enhance not only my own BANDIT SLAYER’S paradise but I think it would also enhance yo...

  • More Organized Bandits Plans

Yes I have increased the variety of bandits in Skyrim but does that mean that they are more organized? They still just sit around waiting for you to kill them like cattle. They are alot harder now and almost on par with other threats in Skyrim, but they are still not dynamic, you don't feel any pressure from them. There a couple of ways I can go about fixing this:
    1. I can make more bandits types (Content heavy mod)
    2. I can increase the spawns and ramp up the difficulty of my bandits (Difficulty mod)
    3. I can start creating a new patrol sequence for the bandits that allows them to travel between camps that adds more bandits are organized feel (Immersion mod)
    4. I can make each of the bandit locations into bandit looking strongholds so that when you see a bandi...

  • Big Bandit Breakthrough

So... I was wondering why my bandits were still not spawning at all... I looked and I looked even made a whole new game to allow cells to start fresh... nothing. So I poked around the CK for awhile and found out that each of the bandits were very much purposely place there typewise instead full random... So basically every bandit was purposely put there! for example, Bleak Falls Barrow entrance will always spawn three bandits up there... yes, but they will almost always be archers(except for one)! No freaking way I'm letting that happen! It actually makes some sense to me because I remember only seeing a bandit mage like 3 times ever. It's okay to have some predictably, but not to the extent I saw in the CK! Of course I kept the ones that made sense, Tower guards ar...
