This mod is a purist lore-friendly version of Skyrim Immersive Creatures v5.1.1 by lifestorock. Released with permission.

SKYRIM IMMERSIVE CREATURES v6 IS NOW AVAILABLE.

FROM v6 ONWARDS, THIS MOD IS NO LONGER NEEDED AND SHOULD NOT BE USED ALONGSIDE v6 - MY LORE-FRIENDLY AMENDMENTS HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED INTO THE MAIN MOD VIA MCM MENU.

YOU SHOULD ONLY USE THIS VERSION OF THE MOD IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO UPDATE TO v6 OR HIGHER.

Installation:
Install the main file ("Skyrim Immersive Creatures v5_1_1 MAIN FILE") first, then install the purist lore-friendly version ("Skyrim Immersive Creatures - Purist Lore-Friendly v5-3d2"), and say yes to overwrite files when prompted by NMM.

All credits go to lifestorock and the authors of the original mods as credited on the main mod.



UPDATED 5.3d2 optional file - traduction Francais - merci à mcguffin.

UPDATE 5.3d2 - cleaned in TES5Edit.

UPDATE 5.3d - updated to incorporate balance changes at lower levels by lifestorock in v5.1.1 of the master mod. Also now renames "Sabre Cat Pup" as "Sabre Cat Cub", and removes mecha dragon misc items that were missed before.

UPDATE 5.3c - bugfix for skeleton spawns & invisible creatures - race and skin settings weren't getting overwritten even if set correctly. Now working correctly.


v5.3 Purist Lore-Friendly -
Creatures removed from 5.1 of the main master mod:
*NEW* Dwemer Draman Constructs removed
*NEW* Dwemer Draugr Constructs removed
*NEW* Frost Spriggan Matron removed
*NEW* Tundra Giant and Cave Giant (retextured Dawnguard Frost Giant) removed
Draman (and all Draman variants) removed
Perfect Hybrids and all variant hybrids removed.
Mechanical Dragons (all variants) removed
Chaurus Warriors removed.
Giant Brutes removed
Fire Giants (normal and brutes) removed
Frost Giants (the retextured blue normal and brute versions, not the Dawnguard ones - Dawnguard frost giant still remains) removed
Werewolf Hunting Grounds King and Champion removed
Rieklings (not the Dragonbon rieklings - you can still have the Dragonborn ones with the optional file from the main mod) removed

Other amendments:
*NEW* Hell Hound - removed wolf death item, given flame atronach death item. Removed "animal" keyword (so doesn't count as an animal in animal kill count in stats) as it's not really a living animal! Will be doing the same for other vanilla "undead" animals in future versions.
*NEW* Cyclops Eyes and Toes ingredients removed (don't think it was being used, but removed in any case)
*NEW* Chaurus Swamp Hunters added back in as plausible variant insect chaurus. Chaurus humanoids ("Warriors") still removed.
Spell Tomes to summon removed creatures also removed.
This latest version removes my amendments to the Dwemer Spectres as the main mod now provides lower-level variants.


In the latest version of the main mod, daedra have been removed from appearing on the loose in the lands, and will now only appear when summoned by accompanying Daedra Worshippers.


All other creatures remain, including all undead variations, animal variations, golden saints, goblins, cliffracers and dwemer spectres.



INSTALLATION:

1) Make sure you have first installed the original version of Skyrim Immersive Creatures from http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24913

2) If you've never used a version of Skyrim Immersive Creatures before, skip step 2 and go straight to step 3. If you're currently using the main mod by lifestorock or an earlier version of the replacer on an existing save game, you may need to go to a safe interior location and wait 31 days to allow lists to remove creatures already spawned that I have removed. Once the time has passed, save the game, deactivate the old version and activate the new version.

3) Deactivate the original Skyrim Immersive Creatures esm and esp file if you have either active.
-Use this esp file instead (do not use the original esm file). The bsa file from the original mod must still be in your data directory. If using NMM to install, do not deactivate the original mod from the "mods" tab, as this will also remove the bsa file which is needed - instead deactivate the esm or esp (whichever version of the original mod you had installed) from the plug-ins tab of NMM.
