I put a lot of time into this mod and it was very very appreciated. Without you guys I wouldn't have done as much as i did and again I thank you all.
I would also like to inform you guys, if you didn't know is that I have stop working on this mod for awhile now. But luckily there are other modders out there that liked and modified my work to make it even better. Though I don't have links to give you I'm sure you guys can find them if you look.

Is killerkeo still around? trying to get in contact with him. I want to request to him that this mod be ported to SkyrimSE, if author does not want to do it i already got it fully working for SE. I need his approval or his confirmation that he will port it himself. I just want this available for SE.
For anyone wanting to use version 2 and want the hood fixed, I got a fix. After you install this mod, go to */meshes/kkfur" and amke a copy of the kkfurhood_0.nif and kkfurhood_1.nif and rename them to "kkfurhood_0a.nif" and "kkfurhood_1a.nif" respectively. Now you got a hood in version 2 along with the hood down version item.
Was looking through the CK and saw that it was looking for "kkfurhood_1a.nif" for model which doesn't exist.
The hoods don't appear to be beast-compatible, whether hood up or hood down. Just tried them on my female Argonian, didn't work. Along with renaming the hood-up variant, I even made copies of "kkfurhood_down_0.nif" and "kkfurhood_down_1.nif" and renamed them as "kkfurhood_down_0a.nif" and "kkfurhood_down_1a.nif" respectively.
At least the hood-down variant isn't removing my horns and head-feathers now, but this is as far as I've gotten. :/
Idiomic, I don't think this is a mod problem, but a game problem. If you ever put on a hood or helm in vanilla most of the time they default you to whatever the bald hairstyle for that respective race is. Its usually to prevent clipping issues with the armors. You would have to find something like a wig mod or something like that to help your problem.
I don't know about anyone else, but for me that isn't the problem. Because I can SEE my characters clean shaven bald head. She is a female WoodElf.

Update: After some further tinkering. For no apparent reason. It works now... With just the fix you suggested Thamorian. So I've no clue what is going on. It wasn't even my save or ApachiiHair mods.
