Thank you, Plumber. As a fan o the Witcher series and of the Scoia'tael, these bows are perfect for my wildling character. They're beautiful, though draw a little slowly even with the Quick Draw perk, but in my opinion, that makes them a bit more balanced when you upgrade them to higher ranks. These, in company of the Archery Gameplay Overhaul make for an interesting and fun experience when going for that "perfect" shot or just taking a pleasure out of distance sniping. For those that wish it as an option, might I suggest adding compatibility with scoped bows? I personally don't use scopes, but there are some that would certainly enjoy the thought of adding a scope to everything that fires projectiles. Thanks for the mod, hope to see more from ya soon.
Love the look here on Nexus, but installation fails to result in any options to craft the bow in world. I'm way maxed out on perks for smithing, installed with NMM, ran loot, even tried plopping this late in the load order. I also have Immersive Weapons and Immersive Armors installed (and 50 other mods, all of which play fine together, none of which I believe affect weapons) and my game is NOT installed on the C drive of my computer due to space issues.
You are the first person which it complains that the modification does not work, 9671 so far have downloaded and had no problems. The modification adds to the game only new elements, does not edit the existing ones, so it is compatible with everything.
The problem is on your side so I advise you to look there.
I too didn't like the shortbow's black (rather bland) texture. Maybe it would suit some dark, evil character, but it didn't suit my playstyle.
If you don't like the black texture, try this (not sure if it would work). 1. Install the IPM Scoiatael mod, if you haven't already done so. 2. Go to the following folder: DATA->textures->scoiatael Backup the files there first. 3. Copy the Quiver.dds and replace it over Quiverblack.dds 4. Copy the Scoiataellongbow.dds over Scoiataelshortbow.dds
Frankly, I haven't tried replacing the texture with the IPM Scoiatael longbow texture, as I have another favorite bow texture that works rather well with this shortbow, and gives it a very unique feel.
To try this... 1. Download the textures (.DDS files) from the snakeskin retexture mod. 2. Go to the following folder: DATA->textures->scoiatael 3. Rename: steelbow.dds to: ScoiataelShortbow.dds 4. Rename: steelarrow.dds to: Quiverblack.dds
You can also try that modder's another bow retex mod, and try those texture for the black shortbow: cherrywood bows by kirkieball
I really like this mod, it works well with other immersion mods but there's only one issue I have with it and that's the black shortbow. Any way to change the texture to the long bow one? (8th you can't tell which bow is which by color/size/name then lol2you)
I love this mod! You have done an excellent job; it works perfectly and looks incredible. Without a doubt this is my favorite bow now! Always loved the Scoia'tael; now my elf looks truly badass!
Just a friendly tip that you could likely increase the amount of DL's if you put "bow" in the mod's name. I could not remember the bow's proper name so it took quite a bit of hunting to find it. Great mod BTW, just hard to find.
Scoiatael Weapons -> Scoiatael Bows An interesting proposition, reasonable considering that these are two bows. (It is a pity that the nexus does not allow the naming modifications in the correct way Scoia'tael Weapons -> Scoia'tael Bows) I'll think about it when make the next update.
I've added a link to the Bosmer Ceremonial Armor as recommended complementary modifications. Green and black/gray texture for bows in the way. (for greater visual compatibility)
I am loving this idea! I don't know how difficult it would be, but I would love to see a Longer Arrow and Closer Quiver version or Proper Length Arrows version for this mod. The arrow looks amazing, but similar to vanilla arrows, the tip rests on the finger right now. Endorsed!
Edit: I noticed that Closer Quivers already has a patch for Version 2 of WickedJester's Scoitael Weapons. I don't need the quiver to be any closer, since I already used Chesko's Belt Fastened Quiver, but I still would love to see longer arrows!

Update 09-03-2014
An entirely new design of arrows, and new kinds of them.
(Unfortunately, lately I have less and less time for modding.
Sooner or later I finish the work, so a little patience.
And I want before the release of the new version to have everything checked in every possible way.)
Comments, suggestions, pictures, any feedback etc... greatly appreciated.
Would love to try this out for my archer.

The solution is in the post above yours.

This mod will give you a snakeskin texture for the shortbow and its quiver!

Hi,
if you get back to this, please add the weapons to leveled lists as you considered.
