Dragonborn update is now up. I've merged the DLC & Vanilla downloads into only one file that everyone will use. If you don't have the DLC's then the loose files will do nothing in your game at all, making them harmless. If/when you have the DLC's installed they will automatically take effect. Seeing as we're not touching Durnehviir, this will be the final update to this mod for the foreseeable future. I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I have.
(10-04-2016) - I'm glad to see this pack has grown. Cheers ladies & gents. I was watching Jonah Lobe's channel on Twitch. He's the individual responsible for sculpting and texturing the Skyrim Dragons (including Alduin & FO4 Deathclaw). Anyways, I felt like passing on something I learned; the assets for the Skyrim Dragons were originally much higher quality than what you see in the HD DLC. They were originally 4096x4096 resolution textures with a different "unmirrored" mesh file, but they had to be repeatedly downgraded because of all the performance issues Bethesda was experiencing on the PS3 and X360 during development. It adds a bit of context to the "how & why" things turned out they way they did.
I'm using ultimate dragon..i used deadly dragon before. In both cases the first dragon mirmulnir turns invisible.I'm wondering if this mod could fix it.
Sometimes, rarely, when I meet a dragon, it will be extremely low-res, like it doesn't switch from its LOD model to its real textures. And the new dragons from Deadly Dragons, such as the Dracolich, looks like an ordinary dragon until it comes up close with this mod. Something is funky about your LOD.
If I remember correctly, that's just something that happens once in a while, with or without the mod. I'm not sure why it happens but it does. Once you kill the dragon, and he starts to decay, the textures will return to normal.

Want to download this but I actually like Bethesda original eyes for dragons is there anyway with downloading only the body textures minus the eye textures? (that isn't nifskope, blender, gimp etc)
I'm not sure about how MO works since I don't use it and I do everything manually. However, since the eye texture is not separated in a standalone dds file but it's part of the whole dragon body texture, I'm pretty sure you cannot select what to install. You should use editinig dds programs, like Photoshop or Gimp(it's free), both with the DDS Plugin, and copy the vanilla eyes from the texutre in the Hi-Res Official DLC and substitute them to the new one. To extract content from a BSA, like this official DLC, I recommand you using BSAopt:
Fortunately, it works perfectly fine as-is. Just drag & drop these files into your SSE directory and you're good to go. I'm re-publishing this to the SSE Nexus right now though.
I hadn't realised that I'd forgotten to endorse this outstanding retexture, my apologies! Beautiful artwork, while being light on performance, what's not to like? I also find it goes extremely well with Ultimate Dragons, and Immersive Dragon Sounds... Now, dragons look, sound and act like the fearsome beasts they should be. Thank you!

Have fun!
I googled around and managed to find this. I haven't tried these textures in-game but I did open them up and had a look at them.
