To add, running this mod through CAO didn't result in any changes, so you can use this as is. If you are using Vortex, don't download this archive with the mod manager. Download manually, and drag and drop the archive into Vortex (into the box at the bottom of the Mods tab), and install as usual. EDIT: I went and tested both versions, they BOTH should work with no problems. Just follow the above in order to install in SE.
Technically there's no need to. As long as it's just a texture being replaced you can use it on any Skyrim version no big deal. But since this is like my favorite retexture for this armor I was a bit disappointed when I didn't see it on the SE page. I thought it got deleted or something. Had to actually come back here to find it. So there's potentially a newer audience that didn't grow up with the game at launch that doesn't know about stuff like this that a new upload may help reach.
Wrong. No mods can be ported over to SE without fundamental damage to scripts. In fact, modding in itself corrupts the purity of the game, causing Hemskir to eventually go berserk after 500 in game days with mods running.

Just manually download it and add it that way.
I really wish people who don't know what they're talking about would stop trying to educate others. You just make things worse. Stop. Please stop.
Also, is this compatible with Improved Closefaced Helmets?
