Yes, necromage should have never been "fixed", as it was not broken and certainly is not a bug.
The name, as well as the description implies what it does, and should do.
There are advantages and disadvantages; Things like these should not be touched by uskp.
I know a few people who hesitated to DL uskp for this very, and similar unnecessary changes made by the patch.

    Thanks for this.

The fact that it buffs spells and enchantments on self is not a bug, just a harmless design oversight.

The fact that it randomly buffs certain perks is a bug however because the implementation details of those perks are meant to be a black box and perks aren't spells. Also, the order in which you choose perks should not have to make a difference.

It breaks many things in other mods because there is no way to have any effect run on the player without this affecting it. 120 second timer? LONO it's 180 seconds now. Concentration spell with a duration of 1 second (ie while concentrating)? LOLNO duration is now 1.5 seconds meaning you can stack it by furiously clicking. Make exactly 80% shout cooldown reduction available to the player and no more because 100% is cheap? LOLNO here's 100%. Have a spell that fires off another spell with the same magnitude that fires off a third spell with the same magnitude, using SKSE to make sure the magnitude is the same as the previous spell, enabling support for dual casting? LOLNO the third spell will do 56% more damage than the first spell says it does.

Yes, if you want to be cheesy, feel free to download a mod to make it so. But it SHOULD be fixed in the baseline game.

Yes, it *is* partially broken, but the fact remains that removing every bit of the perk's functionality was an idiotic move on the USKP team's part. They should've actually fixed it, instead of removing the one thing that makes vampires a viable play option.

Necromage was going to be my counter to Vampiric Thirst's Restoration magic reduction. I am glad I found this, hope it workds.

I do trust that many people don't know necromage is a bug or it should be fix, I feel disgusting when i finally know the fixlist of uskp
I hope this mod could be effective.

I really don't know what has gotten into the Unofficial Patch team. It's like they ran out of bugs and started making balance tweaks, making mod's like this necessary. As unbalanced as the perk was, it's status as a bug was debatable, and should not have been included. The same goes for the changes to Trainer-Followers, silver sword tempering, Grimsever, and many other things they have done.

Thanks for this man. No idea why they felt the need to change this in the unofficial patch, seeing as the effect did EXACTLY what it said on the tin.
