I saw your installation instructions and it says to start a new game. Your mod seems very attractive to try but if I have to start a new game I probably won't download it. So I just want to make sure... is it an absolute requirement to start a new game?
If you`re lucky it may work in your mid-game, but when I tried it, everything got weird. it only worked right when I started a new game. So it`s 50-50. Do you feel lucky, punk?
Well, my game is going very well since my fresh restart. I also have requiem and quite a few other mods installed, but degradation is working well. It wouldn`t let me repair my own kit cos I had no skill which is correct, but I was able to go to a smith and get him to fix my degrading armour which again was nice. i set all degrading options on Super Slow since Requiem plus some other mods make the game HARD, and I feel a long degrade time is realistic since my stuff gets worn pretty hard by tough monsters and mages that i often run away from and they degrade it fast anyway from my many bashings!
Tried your mod. The ring is in inventory and allows to change speed of degradation. Weapons and armor degrade in fights. Cannot repair or improve anything at workbench or grindstone, nothing is recognized. Also, no initialized message.
I had something like this. Only way I could fix it was to start a fresh game. Problem seems more severe if you have a lot of mods and try starting in the middle of a game.
I was wondering if you took into account elements damages such as fire or frost or electricity.
One thing that kills my immersion is when I can suffer from dragon breath and without all my clothes, leather armor, hide shield, and wahtever-is-burnable falling to the ground in pieces, or my iron armour melting on me doing additional damages.
Also why the hell isn't the metal breaking at very low temperatures as it should likely on any shock ?
I am hoping your mod could help, maybe it would be configurable ?
Hello, thanks I like this mod , I really appreciate a mod that degrade the weapons and armor, maybe just the weapons first like Dead island you know worn-out weapons. as you hit someone your weapons coming to change and broke, that mod will be awesome, thanks for read me.

Already done that and same effect, I tried launching it by skse loader and without it and still I get no ring in my inventory. Is that becouse I don't have MCM Menu downloaded ? - I mean does this has something to do with it ? And one more thing - at what point in the game the ring should be given to me precisely ?
Mcm downloaded, skyui, not needed to receive ring. You can also get skyui be gone to use mcm without skyui. But your issue indicates a different problem.
For testing try this: start skyrim and DO NOT load a saved game. Instead, go to console with tilde key, ~ , and type "coc riverwood" to create a test game. See if the ring is given thn, under armor section.
I've done all those things and still nothing. MCM and SkyUI are not working either. Is that because I have 1.1 (or 1.2) version of Skyrim ? I don't have any other mods downloaded, beside enb graphic mod, but it shouldn't collide with the degradation mod. Still, I will keep trying to solve this.
Anyway this mod bring some great realism to the gameplay like it was in Oblivion.
