While I have Duel 7 properly installed for LE, turns out I'd accidentally been running Duel SSE for years with just the .esp, and none of the SKSE script files. I'm curious just how much of its functionality still works that way. I've still enjoyed the experience, but I don't know how much Duel impacts it in this state. I'd like to know, if possible.
All the Game Setting values get tweaked by the .esp, so at least that much is changed.
Do any of the invisible magic effects and such work without SKSE or do they just kind of exist in the .esp file without getting applied to anything?
Hey. Your mod was the s#*! back in the day. I'll never forget hanging in my dorm trying to figure out wtf all these "mods" for Skyrim were. I remember this combat mod being one of the best of them. Thanks.
It's a very interesting mod, the problem for me is that I disagree with some values. For example, in my tests I set (with SkyTweak) the weapon reach to 100, and feels much better than 130 or 140 where I can see clearly weapons hitting without contact. That's why for sensible stats I prefer always mods with options via MCM.
This mod is great. I just wish staggering was optional. I just easily kill npc's with stagger locks. So basically, they get hit once and they are done for.
Its too difficult to balance combat with lots of stagger tbh.
