Okay, everything is great except for one thing. I mean seriously what is this compulsion among sorting mod makers to sort alcohol as a potion? That's why I originally stopped using Headbomb's mod. More to the point is there a way to sort potions without sorting alcohol?
Works very well and endorsed. You need to use the Book Covers patch that's supplied by Book Covers Skyrim and not the one included in the package here, however. My apologies from the misleading information earlier. The other patches might be out of date as well. I can't say as I don't use those mods.
So, there is one SLIGHT problem with this mod. It requires Book Cover Skyrim.esp-Book Covers Dawnguard.esp (also heartfire and dragonborn.esp etc.) The SLIIIIIIIIIGHT problem is that Book covers now comes into one esp for ALL DLCs. So, naturally, the Game considers that there are missing espS and CRASHES. FIX YOUR MOD AND UPDATE IT, DAMN IT. Other than that, I would say great mod, IF I COULD'VE USED IT!!!
I actually got directed to Eclips3d's version of Better Sorting from ABT. Im a long time fan of the original mod though this one did cause some confusion until I figured out it was the culprit~ nothing serious though.
I wasnt used to my drinks like wine being treated as a potion, which caused my potion menu to be cluttered up. At first I thought this was caused by iNeed, but after some looking around I learned that it was this mod's doing. My problem with this is it didnt happen in the original Better Sorting mod, and there isn't any indication in the installer that tells you this. However my biggest problem is that there's no option to "not" have them count as potions which left me with no choice other than to not install the potion part. Otherwise I love the ability to lessen the potion weight to 0.1 and the renaming conventions... I just didn't prefer moving my drinks from food.
Otherwise, I like how it easily lists which food is cooked, I just wish instead of say Leak - Cooked, Potato - Cooked, Salmon - Cooked there was an option instead to list them as "Cooked - Leak, Cook - Potato, Cooked - Salmon so all the cooked foods could be listed together instead like how it does with say stews. It seems a little strange to me, so I figure it might be a small oversight. Here's a pic though.

Now having mentioned my preference for drinks remaining in the food menu and not being pushed into the potion menu, I do hope there is later an option for foods to rename the drinks so they were easier to organize. Perhaps something like Mead - Nord, and Mead - HonningBrew, or Wine - Alto and Wine - Surilie Brothers. I say this since installing the food module and not the potion module the drinks are left unsorted.
Lastly considering the strange issue with this and ABT I didnt notice at first it was changing the damages of arrows, which again the installer doesn't mention. In this case I simply didn't install the arrow module in this mod and instead used ABT's BS progressive damage option in its installer and everything seems to work fine. I personally dont think a mod that renames items has much business altering the damage values of items, so again I wish there was an option in the mod menu to not include those damage changes specifically... at least include that in the arrow option description in the installer so we know.
Perhaps its my fault for not reading the page information the first time, I just figured it was a "fixed" version of the original Better sorting mod. Once I came back and read it from top to bottom I realized what had happened though. Still, I feel these sorts of changes should be mentioned somewhere in the installer to begin with.
Are you aware that you can mix and match from other sorting mods? In other words, you can use the potions esp from the original sorting mod in conjunction with EBS's esps.
There is a sadness in realizing the author is not aware that his last update is not downloading. So it should be called Somewhat Enhanced Better Sorting.
NMM indicates that I have Enhanced Better Sorting 3.0 when I downloaded 3.2. To make matters worse, NMM is now telling me that version 3.5 is available, when version 3.5 is nowhere to be found.
Why am I having trouble installing this mod using Mod Organizer? The Bain/FOMOD plugin recognizes all other mods I've installed that contain the Bain/FOMOD folder, yet whenever I attempt to install this one, it asks me to choose a data directory as if this is a simple mod for installation.
[5 Minutes Later] After Re-packaging the mod into a new .7z file, I managed to get Bain/FOMOD to recognize the newer .7z file.
[10 Minutes Later] It still doesn't fix the issue that each Bain installer doesn't open when trying to install the mod. Bain needs to open because each "version" of the mod - depending on DLCs/compatibility patches - need to be able to be individually selected in order for the mod to be properly activated.
Had a problem with Arrows not being equipped properly while having the mod installed. Got the message "No Arrows Equipped". Probably compatibility issues with some of my other mods, but I don't feel like going through the whole list to find out which one. This is my complete list f installed mods if anyone is interested: http://i.imgur.com/apdHknh.png
Well, I actually like your mod. However there are somethings I suggest you to improve.
1) NMM Installation: the pop-up window is too long vertically so many people commented that they can't see OK button. And I myself must toggle auto-hide to the taskbar to click it.
2) Maybe a compatibility patch for Complete Crafting Overhaul (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49791/?) (or their related mods) is great for us as well. Some item in misc. category such as pelts and gems are not categorized by this sorting mod.
Thank you
I am afraid this MOD is abandoned, the last Nexus post from the author is over one year old.
There we go - new Compatibility Patches for between Enhanced Better Sorting and Book Covers Skyrim (version 2.8.3 Legendary only) are available at the BCS - Compatibility Patch Collection. There is both the Before and After sorting version for skill books but I have not done a SkyRe version as I do not have it in my current play through. The only differences would be the skill names prefix/suffix for the Wayfarer and Fingersmith trees.
There is both a FOMOD and BAIN installer.
I would advise unticking EBS - Books (Before).esp or EBS - Books (After).esp if you are using them as they were very out of date.
Thank you so much. I have been making my own patches for many of the other EBS esp files. Made them for Realistic Wildlife and Loot, plus a few others. The book esp was the only one I had yet update, other than making corrections, seems EBS has a lot of errors regarding the books. But now that you have done all that work, now I can update Book Covers and then install your EBS patch. Thanks again.
