Installment #4 of the More Colorful Resources series. More Colorful Trees adds standalone meshes of both pines and aspens with a small sample mod to see what the colors look like in game, they are outside Whiterun going towards the Western watchtower.

I had to wonder where the burnt and dead trees were. All the trees were the same color. While I'm sure a lot of work went into the trees to make them move and such, I felt like Bethesda sold themselves short with the lack of interesting foliage in Skyrim. I got tired of stamping duplicate plants and trees all over the place so I decided to try my hand at recoloring them for my own enjoyment. More Colorful Trees adds new colors to vanilla trees using vanilla meshes with altered textures to make a bigger variety of colors for the modder. They will not alter any of the trees in game, but are standalone. I recolored these trees with my mod in mind, but I decided to share these as I'm pretty pleased with (most) of the results. I do realize some colors do not match the file names. If it bothers you, change them. I only ask you give credit.

Please note none of the snow trees or shrubs are recolored. I figured the difference in color wouldn't be seen anyway.



Included in Version 1.0:

Each of the Aspen trees (1-6) in 7 colors
Each of the pine trees (1-5) in 6 colors
This time I tried to keep the colors more natural, one of the aspens looks like a flowering plum, but I like the effect.

Added LOD trees for the Aspens, (don't know why but there is no 04 Lod tree) It's not forgotten just not provided by Bethesda. I have the files ready for the pine trees, I just need more time to change the nifs. I do not know how to hook up the trees to their own LOD files. I just made them for request.

You may ask for another color of the default meshes, but there is no guarantee that it will look nice. Some colors, like white, just don't show up right on the image files. I do not do remodeling so if you want me to slash and paste something together, I probably will not be able to do that.

Installation:

1) Extract the contents of the ZIP folder into a temporary folder
2) Cut & Paste files to your Data folder
3) Turn on the mod or use the CK to add the items to your mod.
4) Have fun

Un-Installation:

1) Delete the files associated with the mod
2) Remove any meshes used from your .esp
