I had the same issue as Lunaus, but the mod wasn't at the bottom of my load order. When I moved it to the very bottom of the load order, it worked perfectly.

Its not always that you installed it wrong. If something happens the game can sometimes brake randomly. If it happens, just try alt tabbing out then back in. Or restarting Skyrim. If restarting Skyrim doesn't work. Then u installed it wrong. Just saying. Installation HAS TO BE at the bottom of the load order (Bashed Patch CAN go after...)

^ if ur load Order doesn't look like that. You installed it wrong. BOSS doesn't work properly , it will always sort these before the unknown mods, and that brakes the Mod. EVERY TIME you run boss, u have to check the load order.
I, too, am experiencing the figuratively-pressing-face-into-map issue, and the mod is very last in my load order. :\
EDIT: Scratch that-- I *thought* it was last in my load order, but INIGO was under it, turns out. I moved the map plugins to REALLY last, (though I don't know how INIGO would have done anything to it?) and now everything's fine.
i was having the EXACT same problem, but took a hint from the list of mods in the newest video by Gopher & downloaded "A Quality World Map" using the "classic map with roads" option while installing (for those who dont know that mod that option looks just like this map, only w/o the added zoom coolness.) After that i installed all the "Warburgs 3D Paper World Map" mods as instructed (remembering to disable the SkyUI map thing) & it worked PERFECTLY! Now all is awesome with this mod & I hope this helps some PPL
just got mine working, by going through and updating all my mods to the latest version then running boss and checking for any errors... fixed any errors checked the mod was at the bottom of the load order (which boss did) and now fixed
Absolutely LOVE this!! It's great for immersion, especially when combined with "Instinctive Exploration". Is there any chance that you will be making similar style maps for some of the most popular world addons such as Falskaar?? That would really complete the experience!
I'm fairly certain it's the Camera Data in Worldspace entry with FormID 0000003C under MNAM - Map Data that's being overwritten. Using TES5Edit, one can observe that Max Height defaults back to 80000 from 340000 which causes the face pressing into the map and Initial Pitch defaults back to 50 from 90 giving the odd angle when looking at the map if an esp is loaded after the Warburg esp.
Patching is a snap if one wants to run a mod after the Warburg Map. For instance, the patch would work for the Disable Fast Travel mod with just five edits versus about a dozen edits if the Warburg Map comes last.
Edit: Just tested my idea on a patch that loads after Warburg's mod that previously borked the map and it works just jiffy. I used the BOSS ordering with no ill effects. I had to edit two additional entries under ONAM - World Map Offset Data but the map works fine now. So it seems that five values are necessary for the map to work correctly. Therefore, I don't need to Warburg's mod loaded last anymore.
this mod is messed up the icon in the solstheim, falskaar, and any other map excpet the main map, the icon start floating around the map and not stay in place. pls fix this issue
Great map but not work good with skyui mod. When first time enter on the world map get information about erorr skyui with map menu( not finished map menu) and agree with this information. Skyui add me option faund location on map, dont see this option on this map mod, be side map get error with display when ignored skyui error and plays with this map.
Ps: i alone faund solution problem with skyui. In skyui menu make off (extension map menu option) and next time skyui not information about error.:)
Anyone got a quick fix for this bit of an issue? Whenever my map camera moves to the upper half of Skyrim, this immediately happens and seems to stay that way until I go down to either the center of lower half of Skyrim. Which is a big pain and not an easy to ignore issue.
Fix for ENB overbright map is to add a custom ENB map weather to your weatherlist.ini then you turn down to zero ImagebasedLighting, Volumetric rays, Ambient Lighting etc. Do that for all Times Of Day and Interiors
I still use it too! I don't suppose you'll find a way to fix the 'ulocked...lod' issues on Falskaar and Wyrmstooth? If I may ask, why are those settings set to 32? And Why do Falskaar and Wyrmstooth have issues with it, but Skyrim and Solstheim don't?
Yes! This mod is the best world-map mod out there. Other map mods are great and all, but your map is the most immersive looking, like it actually belongs there instead of the default one. Thank you!
I do, but I've read those comments on STEP telling me that making a complete 2D paper world map is impossible kinda makes me sad Anyway, great mod, hope you will keep updating this one, helping us get rid of the GPS one
Your map is probably the best replacement out there, Warburg. Would love to see this completely finished - maybe even get its own FOMOD installer, too.
Update: I am trying to allocate time to get this done. I will continue to try and find time to work on this, because I too want to see this completed for Solstheim. Thanks for the patience, and I apologize for the long wait.
With respect, I don't think there's any point making another map until you can figure out what causes the extreme zoomed in map you will rarely get with this mod. It clearly isn't a load order issue.
Of course i'm still using this mod! Also the zoomed in map bug happens typically when using another mod that edits the worldspace and is placed below the warbugs mod. So keep an eye on your load order.
I've been using this for... ever really, though once I did look at another paper map because of the issues I had with this one, my conclusion was return to this map and disable it when visiting Solstheim and Bruma. The reason for disabling it is because it seemed to mess/conflict with the LODs for those areas! I'm content to continue enabling and disabling as there simply is no better paper map.
Oh yeah, a shout to Bethesda... who in gods name though cloud cover on a map would be a good feature?... are they completely mad or was it a accountancy suggestion?

Open SKYUI in options
Advanced > SWF Version checking... Untick it.
Done.

If you are using ENB with "ENB Mist" enabled, you'll need to zero all it's parameters as well.
