Thank you so much 00m9 for keeping this old mod alive. The Immersive Menu Background wasnt really famous or anything, it wasnt even rocket science to make . Im the creator. Not even my youtube video got past a few hundred views ..lets say it was a problematic mod, as it wasnt perfect, all my edits to the logo.nif also corrupted the file, which I wasnt aware of at that time.
I still have version 3 on my pc (I just found it, thats why I came here searching for alternatives), which it was my personal version, I believe I havent uploaded this one anywhere, or I did, not long before I made it dissapear from the nexus,,,where I merged all the Immersive Menu Background edits into one..it has snowing, and the smoke, and the spinning emblem with a custom backround picture in the same menu, i just found it saved on my old hdd. I could upload it, but as I said, for some people it could work, for others it wont, as the nif is corrupted...I booted up skyrim with the mod like 10 times, after that the game started ctd-ing on load and that nif was the problem..so I dont even undertand what is going on in this game..sometimes works, sometimes it doesnt,,depends on the weather outside.
I dont have the energy, nor the tools, nor the idea where to start, it was long ago.....
Also, this mod is a perfect menu replacer, lets use this one.
I made the immersive menu backround mod long ago from an older account which i forgot the password of My version had the spinning emblem together with this picture. And there were 3 other pictures too together with the spinning emblem,,and snow, or snow and fog, or on different locations etc..: I stil have the latest variation on my pc..I could upload it.....but....
I learned the hard way that it also corrupts the mesh file (the .nif)...and for some users it worked and displayed correctly, for others it gave errors and couldnt load the game up..that was the main problem of that mod...and I still cant figure out ho to do it properly, nor I do have the tools or time anymore..so this version is as best it gets...at least it works without issues.
The original art is a billion times better than this low-res, desaturated background with a copy-paste Skyrim symbol Photoshopped onto it. Anyone know what format the texture uses? My computer is hiding the format with the name of my image viewer.
