Hey everyone. I've been getting asked a lot to port this over for SSE or at least to give permission for others to do so.
So...um...ALL PERMISSIONS HEREBY GRANTED!
I'm not quite set up to do this myself right now so anyone who wants to port this to work with the new SSE (and upload it) please feel free to go for it.
Of course put my name in there somewhere and perhaps a link back here so people can get info etc.

Thanks everyone for all the comments, screenshots, endorsements & people that have helped others with questions or problems. I'm sorry I haven't been able to be as active as I'd like to be on this project recently, so I really appreciate the community support in resolving issues people might be experiencing.
I think everything's been addressed in either the posts or general description but here's a quick rundown for troubleshooting:
1. Boethiah's Calling quest must be completed and Dragon Smithing perk is needed before armor is forgeable.
2. If the quest has already been completed before installing this mod read the book at the Sacecellum of Boethiah and poof...perk added.
3. There are no future plans to change the stats/mesh/textures or requirements for the armor, although any patches to make it compatible will other mods will most likely be approved.
4. Skyrim update 1.8xxx or higher is required.
5. Make sure this is low (even last) in the load order. Although the mod does not replace anything I did find BOSS ordered it above one mod that altered NPC's item lists (I think Wet & Cold) and therefore took the armor away from the NPC that I had equipped with the set.
6. Performance issues with the new Forge of Boethiah are most likely due to system limitations. As a general rule if things are suddenly turning purplish (no textures loading) then it's a lack of VRAM of your video card. If you're getting CTD's when entering certain areas (Sacellum of Boethiah) then it might be that your RAM is maxed. Please let me know if your having CTD's when entering that area and if it seems the problem is widespread I will do my best to optimize the meshes in that area. My system is somewhat mid-range and experienced no problems but I do understand some computers might struggle with it.

I don't know if this problem has been resolved but, when I go to improve the armor (I didn't complete the quest but I got it from the priestess and I only need to go for the ebony mail) it tells me that I don't have the materials when I already have the scales. i have Ordinator installed I don't know if that conflicts
Could you please make a version with no dark smoke on the character I can't see your goot work most of the time because it gets all black because of the black smoke coming out of the armor and the armor set is so awesome I.d like to see it while doing finishing move you know....
I'm really struggling to choose between this and Jojjo's Demon Hunter Armor for my next playthrough. I suppose I'm playing a mage and this one sort of has a cloak to it, so I'll probably use this one.
So just got this by looting a bandit chief I killed - I do have OBIS installed, along with with this mod of course. Thought only way to get this armor was by forging it?
Cool armour, though personally I prefer to go without helmet, and this armour seems to lack something in the neck area if you go around bare-headed, and for some weird reason the shroud is invisible whenever I equip it

Is there a way to get 2k or 4k texture for it ?
If I can delete the sound file altogether (if that's even possible), that would be even better.
