1. Introduction 2: Installation 3. Version History
=============== 1. INTRODUCTION ===============
This mod replaces the model used for the Shield of Solitude with one made up of a chopped up Steel shield to make it look cleaner and sturdier like a heavy shield should. Stats are unchanged. The shield issued to the Solitude guardsmen is also unchanged.
I made the change for two reasons: First, it's a heavy shield using the mesh meant for a class of shields that are light. Secondly, why would the reward for thwarting the Wolf Queen herself be a dinky iron and cheap wood board?
This should be compatible with any Steel Shield texture replacers (such as aMidianBorn).
=============== 2. INSTALLATION ===============
Unpack the SteelShieldofSolitude.esp module and Meshes folder into your SkyrimData folder, or use Nexus Mod Manager to square it away for you. Activate the module.
