Many new mods have been added, many removed and many updated. I also added this online form so people can let me know about any issues they run across. The suggestions so far have been very helpful so keep them coming.
I was going to comment about the number of mods that aren't that well functioning but then i noticed the 800+ mods comment followed by the over 1000 mods claimed a dozen or so lines below and thought..... 'nuff said.
In the weapon section i would like some bow mods not just the immersive weapons mod that would be appreciated still great work i use roughly 20 of the mods on the list now no problem no CTD 100 hours in
If you don't have time in your life to update your website you should ask if people might be willing to help you. I'm sure they'd be interested in keeping it going.
I just wanted to say thank you! G.E.M.S is an awesome project and many of my mods come from your site. I hope you can get it up again soon. If there is anything I can help you with - cause damn, taking care of all this yourself surely takes a lot of time and effort - please, just say the word.
And please, don't feel pressured. I know you have RL and just because I want the site up and running again ASAP doesn't mean I won't understand RL taking precedence. It's your right to take breaks and all.
Is there any chance I could get a dump of the old website? I understand with Skyrim's age and SE having come out you probably don't want to pay for hosting again, but if an HTML dump (if any of the old data still exists) or something similar could be put in the zip here it would be highly appreciated. I followed your content for years and sorely miss it now that I'm getting back into Skyrim, thanks for the years of mod curation!
It seems like a lot of people, myself included, miss this excellent resource. Did you realize that it could be hosted for free on GitHub using GitHub Pages (https://pages.github.com/)?
It looks like it could easily be re-created using straight HTML / CSS / JavaScript. This would also give the maintainer the ability to approve additional "committers" to help maintain it. Learning to use Git and GitHub (as well as coding a static site) has a bit of a learning curve, but I think the benefit would be well worth it.
It'd be better if Ka3m0n creates it on his own GitHub account, but really, anyone could do it starting with the archive.org copy.
iCurse: Do you have any plans on updating, editing, compatibility testing the list, etc., or is the GitHub page just a clone so the info doesn't die? If so, any plans on one for SSE? Not meaning to imply that you're obligated to or anything, just curious. Thanks!
To the Mod Author, I would like to use your mod , really would but I have a small problem and involves evolution of the web and by extension things like anti malware and anti virus as well as the nexus going through changes. 1. the link in the downloadable file goes to a site Malwarebytes considers suspisous (read it doesn't let me go to the site so there fore i can't look at the mod) 2. the link you have in your sticky also goes to a 404 ( that is the site refuses to load the page or the files are missing).
I write this on 18th day of August 2018 the days of blind trust on the web are long gone
My Suggestion Host it on a site that Malwarebytes doesn't consider bad or else revert back to the old system at least I can use a program like Open office to read it.
For those interested: there's a cached version of the site from Nov 28, 2016. http://web.archive.org/web/20161128172400/http://skyrimgems.com/index.html
Hi ! Thank you ery much for this awesome website. I'm very disapointed to see it is down, although the archive still works. I hope you can put it back online soon.
