WARNING: DO NOT INSTALL THIS MOD.

It probably worked really well when it came out, but today, it causes many issues when you uninstall it. I use SAM, for example, and the body just stopped working when I uninstalled this mod normally via disabling the mod in MCM and then uninstalling and while it didn't for me, it can also cause corrupt saves.

Luckily, somebody posted the following comment below with instructions to uninstall it safely:

    1) Disable from MCM.
    Save manually
2)Disable the ESP file from the NMM menu (uncheck playerheadtracking.esp or some such name)
Save manually again - for me it does not crash here
3)use Savecleaning tool, with Fixscript, delete # and del broken actives. (Like Hadoram's)
The tool should make a backup of the save from step 2, just in case.
4)from the mod install menu, first try to deactivate PHT mod and load back into the cleaned save
For me the game does not indicate corrupt save - at this point I know the uninstallation is successful.
Save manually for the last time.
5)Delete mod for good this time from the mod installation menu

This method worked for me, so credit to jasonjapi, but nonetheless, get PC Head Tracking and Voice Type instead. As of writing this, it was last updated just a couple of months ago. This mod is also buggy. I wanted to uninstall it because my character kept tracking something that was ridiculously far away.

That's what I get for blindly installing a mod before checking when it was last updated. Don't let the same happen to you.

Everybody knows you shouldn't unninstall a scripted mod with an ESP pluggin mid-playthrough.

Sigh, people who don't know what they are doing. Been using this mod for 10 years now without any real issues besides a few small bugs. Anyone modding should know to test a mod thoroughly before use to make sure it is compatible with their line up.

The basic rule of those who install mods is: Never install during gameplay and test before using in a new game. It's Basic.

Or, you know, just don't install/uninstall mods mid-playthrough and always test them on a different, fresh save game first. Optimally always start them on a fresh-save only...

worked for SSE as well as it worked for SLE

this mod is better than the other head tracking mods I've used, and it's fairly easy to install

"Dragonborn! Vampires and demons are planning to destroy the world"
"uhm... Okay, you explain the plot, while I keep my eye on this chicken."
Overall an excellent mod with some funny moments as bonus. Thanks!!!

In general, you shouldn't uninstall mods that use scripts (unless you're going to start a new game). Even after uninstalling, mods' scripts are left in the game saves. You can try using https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/ to remove scripts from your save after uninstalling.

This is not compatible with immersive first person view. Atleast not for me. When I first load up a save in third person it works fine, but when I switch to first person it won't work anymore.

IFP has its own headtracking, you have to disable it in the the config file if you want this mod to work.

That's probably your companion (or your player character, if you have a voice mod installed for it).
    2. yes that might be possible since i had a voice mod for a few days, uninstalled it and "fractures" of that mod may still be there,
thanks for the reply, lad xx

Why does one of my dragonborns keep looking at corpses, even with the option toggled off? (they all actually do that, but for the other two they stop after combat or talking to someone, the third is doing it constantly)

This has been happening to me. I set the tracking time at five seconds, and that didn't work. Then I turned off head-tracking of corpses altogether. My PC still keeps looking at corpses, for as long as I'm in the area (even through objects), even if someone else is talking to me.

I just found this patch that NaughtyColt put up on the Nexus, that's supposed to fix this issue, among other things.
