I used this mod for a while then I had to reinstall skyrim and start all over when my pc bit the dust. When I reinstalled everything I started getting weird CTD issues when I would enter the world after leaving the dungeon of Alternate Start - Live Another Life.
I've tracked the issue down to Dawnstar Expanded and High Res Texture Pack DLC. When I have them both active I CTD every time I try to go to any non-inside location in skyrim. If I disable either all three High Res Texture Packs or Dawnstar Expanded I run great with no issues. Any idea why this is or how I can fix it. I want to keep using this mod but don't want to drop the High Res DLC either. My Stats are listed below.

One of the mods I have (Falskaar... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37994/?) adds a boat docked at Dawnstar near the museum, just past the row boat to solitude/windhelm - anyone know if this will conflict with that?
is there lod? i love this mod and i have never considered switching, but i really need there to be lod for that wall in front. if someone can walk me through how to do it. i know how to use the creation kit for armor and npcs but ive never edited things in the worldspace. isnt it just you hit a checkmark for full lod?
edit. i found the cell in the creation kit and im trying to double click on that wall mesh to give it lod. but it doesnt really seem like its working whats coming up doesnt say its the wall, it works when i click on the trees. i dont really know how to navigate the cell window thing and i dont have a middle mouse button. can someone update this mod with the appropriate lod or tell me how to do it
from memory I don't believe there is; only thing it really affects is the town wall/gate (I always remember thinking "I need to sort that out" when I'd come out of the forest at Red Road Pass giant camp
It seems that there are a few parts to this mod that were...unfinished. There are doors that open but aren't designed for anything other than looks, i.e., you can't enter the structures they belong to. Although, I do feel Dawnstar certainly needs more meat to it, I don't have much use for unnecessary window dressing. Specifically, the house on the mountain side were the entry gate is and the one farthest away near the mine/dock area. Given how the last update was in 2013 I have a feeling this won't be changed anytime soon. It does have a good atmosphere to it without adding too many frills, which is in my view the works of a great mod. I'd just like to see some parts of it finished.
You are quite right! Sorry I never got round to it, real life happened (I remember I always used to think "that won't happen to me!" when I'd see modders say that about unfinished mods)
Only thing that I can suggest is to maybe add a patch/update to add "no snow under roof" compatibility. Other than that, keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing the future of this mod.
I completely agree with that, if you could make a compatibility patch for "No snow under the roof" it would be great! If that's to difficult, maybe you can make a different version with only the entrance/stables/camp and fishing vendor for the city of Dawnstar. In this version all the other assets and houses added by the original mod would be removed. It would be really great if you can make one of the two options above. Thanks in advance!
Any time I try to edit this mod with the creation kit I get some message about being unable to verify a road marker when attempting to save, and if I save the mod causes dawnstar to crash/freeze constantly in game. Does anyone know what's going on?
