Excellent mod, endorsed.By the way the iron bolts look exactly like steel bolts.(I am not complaining. This is just an observation.).Keep up the good work :-)
I have using this mod for a couple of days now and I am mostly satisfied with it. I enjoy the fact I can play with and use all the crossbows (and more) without even touching Fort Dawnguard. With all that considered you have my endorsement! Though here is my suggested improvement list:
1, Support Download with Manager on NexusMods - For some reason this mod currently doesn't support Download with Manager which is annoying because I have to install the mod the old-fashioned way. Unless there is a technical reason why you can't install the mod properly this way, it really should be supported.
2. Allow smithing via the grindstone on iron crossbows (Fine) to (Legendary) as well as other crossbows. I only noticed this on the iron one.
3. Use BBCode on description as well as making it meatier and more detailed (I can do this for you if you want) - I feel the decription is a bit short and that it could do with some BBCode treatment. You can look at my mods for ideas.
4. Change mod name to Craftable Crossbows by Scot. Sums up the mod perfectly in 4 words. I feel just Crossbows is a tad vague.
Thank you. I've been after an Iron Crossbow for ages. Crossbows Basic Collection adds Crossbows for everything Steel upwards, but the whole collection was lacking without an Iron variant to start it off. Once I've worked this and CBC into Skyrim Scaling Stopper I'll be a very happy gamer.
PS: I have found one bug. When picking the Iron Bolts up from the ground, they are still called Steel Bolts. Strange, but there you go.
Ah thank you. As an archery-based character I was saddened that I couldn't craft the crossbows away from the Dawnguard forge seeing as they attack me on sight D:
@Scot okay, just wondering because one could easily copy files over without using the ESM as a master file. I've had to do it with a master file I made when I realized that it was unstable...
Exray catt: Yes I noticed because of your comment XD it was by scot because there are a lot of crossbow mods.
Oddball600: Don´t know I´m still wonder if I will expand this, maybe in the future I will add crossbows to leveled lists.
Sagittarius22: They were but you needed perks and you could only make crossbows at dawnguard forge or something so I did this mod so we can craft in normal forges and stuff.
Diemcarpe: II know, obviously it requires dawnguard I just forgot to add it x)
