Not sure why this issue only effects some people, but I'm one of them. I have done nothing with the RaceMenu ear sliders, but these just clip through my regular ears. :( It was especially obvious since, being just a test, I hadn't redirected the nifs to my race's face texture yet, so I had very pale small ears clipping through these while they were greyish brown by comparison. :P
Edit: I'm not playing an elf, btw. I'm attempting to use these on a female Nord from the 'Custom Vanilla Races' mod, which is SUPPOSED to be no different from a vanilla Nord, as long as I have vanilla heads in the race folders. I do, I don't even use high poly replacers. So even though her ears are small, these don't cover them.
In case anyone need to fix the ear skin match (you'll need nifskope) - with installed mod go to Skyrim\ Data\meshes\actors\character\NouserhereEars - pick your desired ears file and open it with nifskope - in nifskope go to BSLightingShaderProperty > Skyrim Shader Type and in "Value' columnd change 'face tint' to 'skin tint' - save in same folder (overwrite) and enjoy
Can confirm that this works with the Fair Skin Complexion mod, the ears perfectly match the skin textures on the face. Just had to use Face Sculpt to shrink the normal ears so that these ones would cover them completely.
Really love he idea, but you can see the real ears underneath... I play as a wood Elf and I tried to put them on my Nord child because I could not find a way to change his ears through the creation kit). Wish there was a way to fix this because they look great.
Is there a way to add these to RaceMenu, so that I can select through them as part of character creation? These feel like they should be options in the "Elf Ear" slider. I have no clue how hard it would be to do, so if I'm asking the impossible, let me know.
