Before you leave a comment, please consider the following:

    1. Have you not yet read the FAQ on the post?
    2. Are you using a sub-mod of Immersive Armors? For example: Xathra's SkyRe Plugin, Lootification, etc.
    3. Do you not own a legitimate, Steam copy of Skyrim that is up to date?

If you answered yes to any of the above, you have no need to post here. I do not answer questions already stated in the FAQ of the post, I do not support sub-mods directly(ask the sub-mod's author instead), and I certainly do not offer help to those who pirated the game. GO BUY IT!

Otherwise, fire away! Myself and others here in the comments section can hopefully receive whatever feedback you have to give!

*DO NOT REMOVE (uninstall, disable or whatever else) THIS MOD MID-GAME*.

Due to the nature of Skyrim mods, especially those with scripts, some content will be permanently altered and will not be restored to their previous states. NPCs who were wearing armor from the mod will be 'naked', a situation that would be difficult, if not impossible, to fix.

If IA was installed onto an existing save game then revert back to that save, otherwise start a new game after uninstalling.

Removing the mod mid-game is the sole responsibility of the user.

    -----------------

    Immersive Armors Q & A.

Q1 : The game crashes when Immersive Armors is configuring.

A : There's a conflict with the mod Rigmor of Bruma. Disable Rigmor, let IA configure then re-enable Rigmor.

Q2 : The cart goes flying/spinning during the introduction.

A : Try the Prisoner cart fix SMIM patch.

Another option is to install the Alternate Start - Live Another Life mod and let Immersive Armors fully configure before clicking on the statue.

Q3 : Is there a CBBE or UUNP patch ?

    A : Here.

Q4 : Some armors aren't listed in the crafting menu.

A : Most armor sets have requirements that must be met before they can be crafted - specific smithing perks taken or quests completed, for example. All requirements are listed in the Armor List text file included in the download, or by clicking the DOCS link above.

A number of armor sets have different versions - LIGHT, HEAVY and (occasionally) UNARMORED. Only *one* version of these armor sets will be listed in the crafting menu at a time. To change the type to be crafted select the appropriate version in Extra Options of the mod configuration.

This only affects the crafting menu - armor that already exits in the game - e.g in inventory or sold by merchants - will *not* change.

Q5 : The shield painting rack doesn't appear at the Skyforge

A : This occurs when using the Open Cities mod. Compatibility patch available here.

Q6 : The download files are corrupted.

    - try a different browser
    - use 7-Zip instead or WINRAR or WINZIP.
    - use a download utility such as Free Download Manager instead of a browser.

    ------------

    Installing Immersive Armors manually :

Extract these 4 files to your Data Folder:
    Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.bsa
    Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp
    Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.bsa
    Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp

The load order after activating the two .esp files is :
    Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp
    Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp

    -----

    New Crafting Components:

Boiled Chitin Plate: made from (2 Mudcrab Chitin & 2 Chaurus Eggs) or (Chaurus Chitin & Scaly Pholiota) at the Tanning Rack - If Boiled Chitin Armor Crafting is activated.

Fur plate: made from any long furred animal pelt or hide at the Tanning Rack.

Glacial Crystal Ingot: made from 4 Refined Moonstone & 1 Frost Salts at the Smelter - If Glacial Crystal Armor Crafting is activated

I am interested in a mod that replaces the armor of stormcloack officer and IA is required, is it possible to chose to NOT implement armors from this mods while having it installed?

Overall, I really love IA for the way it fits seamlessly into the game. I do have a little bit of feedback as far as immersion goes though. There are several armors that are just far too bulky for Skyrim's style, such as Ulfric's armor. Obviously Ulfric is an important guy and it makes sense that he would be very decorated, but this seems to be exaggerated. And beyond that, some characters such as Hadvar and Ralof get armor that is way too fancy for them -- these are important characters in the storyline, but they aren't very important characters in Skyrim's heirarchy. Normal soldier armor seems more appropriate for them.

Yep, when you join the Stormcloaks Ralof's rank is literally 'Captain'. I believe that makes him... basically a step above the average foot soldier. Not really that special.
Hadvar... He doesn't even have a rank. Hes a foot soldier. Maybe given a bit more authority for surviving Helgen, and having *some* kinda experience with dragons, but not in any official capacity.

Ok, I hope I can get a response to this. First off, been using IA v7.1 for some time now. It's awesome couldn't go without it. On the save I installed it on mid game, I had zero issues as far as I could tell. Saw all armors showing up on various NPCs or around Tamriel in one form or another. Could open MCM change settings close MCM and IA would configure and I would carry on. Somewhere in this save, I was no longer able to save the game without CTD after opening MCM, changing settings, closing MCM, getting BOTH 'IA Configuring' and 'IA Finished Configuring' messages. It is not a crash during configuration. It's only upon saving the game after configuring IA in the MCM and getting the 'Completed Config' signal, whether its quicksave or console save, that mt game CTD. I can open all other mods in the MCM all together or separately close the MCM and save a game no problem. Just not IA. Have you heard of this issue before or have you any ideas on why this could be happening? The game and IA function fine as long as I don't try to change the MCM settings. Very strange

I'll add, I updated to v8 today thinking maybe the game will magically be able to save correctly after tinkering with IA in MCM some how some way with v8. Nope. Same result as described above. Get the 'IA Finished Configuring' then CTD when trying to make a save.

Final question, when updating to v8, do you need to open and close the MCM to get IA to config itself for v8 or is there nothing you need to do on an update to v8? The description, as I interpret, says there is nothing that needs to be done when updating from X to Y

Is it possible to somehow remove some armors from NPCS? For an example I do not like the armor General Tullius is wearing. I think default is better. And same goes for Ulfric. I don't like the Stormlord armor. I disabled them from in game menu, but they still appear on NPCS. Is it possible to somehow get rid of them? I do like most of the other armor sets.

Thanks again for all your work on this mod!

I read the FAQ and Stickied posts. While I didn't try to remove the mod mid game, I did try to install the mod mid game. It didn't go well. Is this a common mistake or was I doing something wrong, or it was conflicting with another mod. Just looking for guidence, since I'm about to start a new game. I wanted to add this if it's best to add this mod when starting a new game.

    Thanks

The mod can be installed before starting a new game or into an existing game. For the latter - as noted in the third sticky post - it's useful to keep a save that can be reverted to if there are issues.

And when having issues with *any* mod, it's best to describe it/them in detail - 'didn't go well' doesn't convey any troubleshooting information.

I'm experiencing that issue where some armors are not craftable.

    - I have everything updated
    - "Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp" is loaded before then "Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp"
    - The only other mods that add stuff to crafting are Immersive Weapons and Expanded Jewelry Crafting, I tried to load Immersive Armor before or after, or disable them entirely.
    - I have lvl 100 smithing with all perks.
    - I have selected all armors as craftable in the menu.
    - Tried to reconfigure the menu multiple times.
    - Example of uncraftable armors: Apotheus armor, Alduin armor, Heroic armors, Ritual Armor of Boethiah. I can still find these armors as loot.

    What did I overlook?

A number of armor sets - including all those you listed - have requirements in addition to smithing perks. There's a full list of requirements available via the DOCS link above or the Immersive Armors text file included in the download.

Alternatively as stated in the armor list "Quest, Rank or Reading Requirements can be removed by using the Toggle in the Configuration System."
