Sorry it's so late but to anyone still having the problem: open the console (~key) and type in: ClearInvalidRegistrations 1 Press enter and it should be fixed
- I used the Fallrim tools, so all my saves are clean as can be. - I uninstalled the mods and reinstalled the mods. Even tried CBBE skin too. All end the same. - Tried it on a NEW GAME, and it works kind of. I played for an hour and I still got it "configuring" and "Finished" 2 times. Roughly every 20 minutes. - Clearinvalidregistrations 1 does not work, anyway I type it in the console.
I read that this is a known bug and almost impossible to fix on saved games. I looked at the FAQ and it said I had a corrupt save. I do not. Between a validator and fallrim, my saves are clean as a whistle.
I am at a loss here, hoping I can figure something out. My friend who has been playing modded Skyrim for years, says he updated his mods 6 months back and he is now getting this same error / loop. He just stopped playing all together, couldn't figure it out.
So I went into SKSE folder and created a SKSE.ini. I then pasted
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1
Into it.
Now I get no loop or error or finished. It also said it is an issue with teh mod conflicting with other mods. So of course, i had to pick the mod load order to create this.
What I mean is, more than likely YOU DO NOT HAVE A CORRUPT FILE. You have a mod load order / conflict that is causing this.
Wait, so how did you do it? i went to my skyrim SE folder, then Data, SKSE and created a text file, pasted that and named it SKSE.ini... i think i did it wrong cause didnt do anything, how do i create this file? or did i put it in a wrong folder?

For me it does not work, Script command "ClearInvalidRegistrations 1" not found
It didn't work for me at first, either, but I tried a lowercase "c" instead of uppercase, and then it did work.

You Sir, have saved my playthrough. Thank you ad infinitum.

I'm having the same problem... I did what the FAQ said i should do (several times) and it didn't work, I had to uninstall everything and re-install it all, and I had to load my back-up save from before i started modding. It fixed the problem, but now all of a sudden I'm getting this problem again... Any ideas?
