As per another member's suggestion, I created a "smoldering" texture for the dragon bones.
I re-textured this one at 2048 x 2048 because, for some reason, 1024 x 1024 looked really bad.
If there are any modders here that would like to take this and add a fiery aura or maybe some smoke to add effects, please feel free to do so. Just give me credit for the texture. :)
This texture DOES affect all dragon skulls and skeletons throughout Skyrim.
As I am not a modder, I do not know how to apply this texture only to killed dragons.
If any modders know how to do so, feel free to alter the file.
Thank you and enjoy.
4/2/12 Version 2.0 "Molten Dragon Bones" is available.
It's a 4096 x 4096 extra crispy variant. Much more contrast than the original texture with a molten lava look to it. I still prefer the original, but 2.0 isn't bad. I just find it to be a bit more "cartoonish" than version 1.0, but some may prefer this.
Thanks for looking and please endorse if you like. :)
