Character Presets

Some of my favorite mods

Description

The main files are replacing the presets in the character creation menu. There is 3 files to choose from, one with both genders together and the other 2 files as a separate download (only choose one). Altogether, this mod is replacing a total of 180 presets, 9 races from both genders. There's no way to make an argonian look "pretty" so it's the only race I did not modify. Some characters might look alike sometimes but one thing you won't find in this mod is 2 presets with the same set of eyes, nose and mouth. At least not within the same race. I didn't add many scars and warpaints, I thought I would leave you the pleasure of making your character your own.

The 8 optional files are Saved Games, right outside of Helgen Keep at level 1. Refer to the "Saved Games" screenshot to choose a character.

I also included in the miscellaneous files, a Saved Game that skips the intro, if you'd rather start right before the character creation menu opens.

Note:
You don't need to start a new game to use the presets. You can change your character's appearance at any point during the game by using the console. Press ~ to open the console, then type "showracemenu" (without the quotation marks) and then press ENTER and ~ again. Do not change the gender or the race of your character using the console, it will lead to bugs. Also, take note that some things will reset when the character creation menu opens (e.i. eyeliner, skin tone).

Recommended Mods

None of the following mods are required for my presets to fonction properly but they really improve how the characters look. And of course "Inhabitants of Skyrim" is compatible with any other hair or texture mods out there.

If you want your male character to look like the ones in the screenshots and the video, you will need to download and install the following mods.

- Better males - Beautiful nudes and faces uploaded by Chris57
(I used the "Sundracon Meshes" for the body and the "YoungerFacesMergedWithMenByGeonox" textures for the face).

- Full Bald Hair uploaded by Galika (only necessary if you want to play a fully bald character).

- High Quality Eyes uploaded by Xenius.

- AOF Believable Hair -Female and Male- uploaded by AnOldFriend. (improves vanilla hair textures).

- ApachiiSkyHair uploaded by Apachii (only necessary if you want to use Apachii's hair).

If you want your female character to look like the ones in the screenshots and the video, you will need to download and install the following mods.

- DIMONIZED UNP female body uploaded by dimon99 (I used the "UNP BASE Main body V1dot2" file).

- Coverwomen uploaded by mrLenski (I used the "seamless UNP and Coverwomen Look_1" file).

- Coverkhajiit uploaded by mrLenski (only necessary if you want to play a female khajiit).

- High Quality Eyes uploaded by Xenius.

- Full Bald Hair uploaded by Galika (only necessary if you want to play a fully bald character).

- ApachiiSkyHair uploaded by Apachii (only necessary if you want to use Apachii's hair).

Note: The presets won't appear with Apachii's hair like they do in the screenshots and the video. You have to choose the hair you want manually (with the hair slider) when you create/modify your character. This was done to prevent having any required files, some people may prefer other hair mods and textures.

If you are using these recommended mods it means that you like them. Remember to endorse those modders for all the hours of hard work.

Install

1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Copy/paste the .esp file into your Skyrim data folder.
Normaly: \Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data
3. Launch Skyrim and before you click on "Play" click on "Data Files" and make sure that the plug-in is checked.
4. Play the game.

Uninstall

1. Start Skyrim Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file.
2. Delete the .esp file from your Skyrim data folder.

Incompatibility

This mod makes changes to most races and will surely conflict with any other mod that changes races. That means it will conflict with other preset replacement mods and with mods that changes racial abilities.

If you use the "Enhanced Character Edit" mod, your esp must be loaded after it or the presets wont show up.

When you create a character and save your game there is no need to keep this mod active. You can safely uninstall it and your character's info is stored in your saves. Of course, if you want to start another character using my presets then you'll have to re-install the mod.

Known Issues or Bugs

This is my first mod so please let me know if you notice anything I should know.

Some people reported that they can't see the new presets in the character creation menu. At this point I'm not sure what causes this and I yet have to resolve that issue.
