ATTENTION: To anyone that is having issues with the ULG tool not being able to find your .ini files
The ULG tool is only going to check the default location for the .ini files. In my personal experience, with several different computers and versions of Windows, it has always been at the same location every time. It seems that some people may possibly have it at a different location. I don't know why.
The default path is: C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\
If they are not at that path, they are somewhere else that is unknown to me and to the ULG tool, and you will need to find them yourself and enter their path manually into ULG. If you can't find them anywhere, sorry, I probably cannot help you and ULG tool is not going to be able to find them either. You must be able to locate your own .ini files to use this tool, or to receive any assistance with issues.
If you do know where your .ini files are, and you have the path entered correctly into ULG, but ULG is still not detecting it, please follow these steps:
When you downloaded ULG, it should've been unzipped into a folder containing the jar file and readme file. Once you run ULG at least one time, it will also create a 'logs' folder within that folder. Zip the logs folder and send it to me, preferably using DMs in the Nexus forum site.
Take a screenshot showing the location of your .ini file. A screenshot of your File Explorer window should suffice. Send this also.
If you provide those, I will attempt to help when I have time. If you comment "it doesn't detect my .ini files" without providing any other details, your comment will be ignored.
At first the tool can't find my .ini file even it's already in correct path but i realize the tool put the wrong name of my PC so i change that and the tool find it immediately. hope this can help
I want to use this mod but have LOD range pushed out to maximum to avoid as much pop in as possible while maintaining the look(so I can play as ultra low res argonian). which .ini settings would I need to change to achieve this?
That would be mostly these settings: fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=9999999.0000 fMeshLODFadePercentDefault=1.2000 fMeshLODFadeBoundDefault=256.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeTreeDistance=2048.0000 fMeshLODLevel1FadeTreeDistance=2844.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=999999.0000 fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=999999.0000 And these for draw distance: fLODFadeOutMultSkyCell=1.0000 fLODFadeOutMultObjects=30.0000 fLODFadeOutMultItems=10.0000 fLODFadeOutMultActors=20.0000
Not sure if you can help, but the Java version installer says it can’t find my ini, so I use the custom path, it works, but then says it can’t read configs. Any suggestions?

fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=9999999.0000
fMeshLODFadePercentDefault=1.2000
fMeshLODFadeBoundDefault=256.0000

fMeshLODLevel1FadeTreeDistance=2844.0000
fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=999999.0000
fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=999999.0000
And these for draw distance:
fLODFadeOutMultSkyCell=1.0000
fLODFadeOutMultObjects=30.0000
fLODFadeOutMultItems=10.0000
fLODFadeOutMultActors=20.0000
Only Balanced, the program won't allow me to set the graphics to Very Low.
Sorted, sorry, I didn't read the bugs tab.
